Zhao Pu (August, 922-992, 18) was flat. You Zhou Ji County people, and then moved to Luoyang, Henan. From the Five Dynasties to the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, he was a politician and a founding hero of the Northern Song Dynasty.
Although Zhao Pu didn't read much, he liked The Analects. His theory of "ruling the world by the Analects of Confucius" has a great influence on later generations and has become a famous saying of governing the country by Confucianism.
Half of the Analects of Confucius governs the world:
Zhao Pu was born in a small official, and his knowledge was much worse than that of ordinary civil servants. After he became prime minister, Song Taizu advised him to read some books. Every time Zhao Pu goes home, he closes the door, takes books from the bookcase and reads them carefully. The next day, he always handles political affairs quickly.
After Song Taizong acceded to the throne, he once chatted with Zhao Pu and casually asked, "Some people say that you only read The Analects. Is this true? "
Zhao Pu honestly replied: "What I know is really not beyond the book The Analects. I used to use half the Analects of Confucius to help Taizu pacify the world. Today, I will use half of the Analects to help your majesty, and the world will be peaceful. "
Later, Zhao Pu died of old age, and his family opened his bookcase. There was really only one Analects in it. So people spread a saying that Zhao Pu ruled the world with "the Analects of Confucius".
