Sun Tongxin was born in Jingdezhen, a famous ceramic family founded in Guangxu period. Although the concept of "splash ink" in Chinese painting is borrowed, it is much more difficult to splash ink on blue and white flowers because of their different carriers, materials and techniques. From this point of view, the application of this technology is undoubtedly unique and unprecedented. Of course, how to properly spill the "material water" is divided into true and false, and there is a dripping flow. How to accurately "spill" the "painting" in the chest, I am afraid it is difficult for the author himself to make it clear in quantitative words. All this is only known by the "feeling" in his heart, only by honing his long years, and we must be willing to bow our heads, which is the foundation! This is the art of Sun Shi! Sun Tongxin's handy use of this splash-ink technique not only greatly enriches the creative means of blue-and-white porcelain painting, but also adds a majestic atmosphere to the picture. Once many of his works were published, they attracted the attention and favor of ceramic art circles and collection departments.
