Human Comedy is a comedy produced by Wanda Film and Television Media Co., Ltd., directed by Sun Zhou and starring Allen, Wang Zhi, Luno, Yam Tat-wah and Jin Shijie.
It tells the story of a timid and worthless radio anchor, Pu Tong, who can't pay the rent and get her salary back, and her daughter-in-law wants a divorce. Inexplicably involved in a conspiracy vortex, the coward Pu Tong fought back overnight, punched gangsters and kidnapped the only son of the richest man.
The film chose Allen as the leading actor, naturally because of his comic skill, but "Human Comedy" didn't make good use of Allen, and didn't give full play to his advantage of "being serious and funny", so that this little guy Pu Tong didn't show many bright spots, but became a bowl of lukewarm water.
What "Human Comedy" expects to make people laugh is the absurdity of family background. However, the director turned the film into a farce that was completely illogical and fabricated out of thin air. The original intention in the film is not only pale and empty, but also the vulgar and childish jokes make people unable to show a little smile, which only brings people embarrassment on pins and needles.
For today's China, the traditional concept of carrying on the family line still occupies the inherent cognition of many people. If satire can be sharp, it is a good realistic work. Judging from the plot structure, it is obvious that "Human Comedy" can learn from "Crazy Stone". However, whether it is multi-line narration or dramatic coincidence, it should be an appropriate narrative idea to support all this. However, the plot of "Human Comedy" is too loose, too much drama abandonment and chaotic arrangement, which makes the film actually completely lose its real situation after the opening.
As a work that focuses on small people, Human Comedy has no authenticity in characterization, whether it is an ordinary couple played by Allen and Mi Li, or a role played by rich second generation or Baye. All the characters in the film give the most intuitive impression and waste the actors' acting skills. In the face of a grandiose work that has no precipitation at all, the space it can play is only the stupid performance that fits the film atmosphere.
