Other information of Geng Jianting
As a medical historian, Mr. Geng Jianting began to study medical history in 1930s. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Shanghai Museum of Medical History was established, and Mr. Wang actively participated and became an important figure among them. Mr. Geng Jianting's contribution to medical history is mainly manifested in opening up a new way to study medical history based on cultural relics archaeology, thus enriching the content of medical history. During his tenure as chairman of the Beijing Medical History Society, he initiated Mongolian and Tibetan medical research, which had a far-reaching impact on the study of Taoist Qiu Chuji. He has published systematic papers on the research of medical devices and medical files collected by the Palace Museum, and made detailed postgraduate examinations on medical cultural relics and their female corpses in the No.1 Han Tomb of Mawangdui in Changsha and Wang Jing Tomb of Zhongshan in Mancheng, Hebei Province, with outstanding achievements. Jian Zhen, a great master who made great contributions to the scientific and cultural exchanges between China and Japan, and his medical achievements were deeply studied. At the appeal of others, Jian Zhen Memorial Hall was established in Yangzhou in 1970s.
