Hebrews 13:6 So we can boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can people do to me? "
The love of money is the root of all evil (6: 20 in advance). This passage teaches us not to be greedy for money, but to regard money worship as the goal of life; Be content (Phil. 4: 1 1). Know that God will take care of us. There are two main aspects to not be greedy for money:
First of all, satisfaction and what I have
Be content with what you have now and spend every day with gratitude, so that your life will be full of peace and joy, not greedy for money, and not haggle with others for material benefits. There are many people who are unhappy and full of sadness, just because they don't have a contented heart. They will compare their own things with others, and the more they compare, the more painful they will be. Then, in order to get more materials, they will do whatever it takes to bring more pain to themselves. Therefore, when we are satisfied with what we have, we will overcome the temptation of material things and be filled with peace and joy.
Second, believe that God will provide for us.
When we know that God will meet our needs, we will feel satisfied. Today, some Christians become materialistic, that is, they think that God can't take care of them, or at least God can't take care of them in the way they think. Believers are greedy for money because they don't believe in God's promises and worry about their present or future life. The devil often plans the needs of life as a way to lure believers into committing greedy crimes; Because this is the best reason for people to think that there is nothing wrong with asking for more money. The only way to save us is to believe that God will provide us with everything we need. And no matter what kind of environment you are in, I believe that God will help you through every difficulty and let us turn from relying on material things to relying on God!
