Beautiful Friends is a novel written by French writer Mo Bosang. It tells the story of a French junior officer, Duroy, who came to Paris, worked as an editor in a newspaper, seduced upper-class women with his handsome face and flattering women, gained money and status, and embarked on the road to success.

This critical naturalistic novel exposes the corruption of the French government, the depravity of the bourgeoisie and the darkness of the press through Duroy's rising history. Duroy, the hero of the novel, is despicable and uses women to climb up; Moreover, due to Mo Bosang's hostility and prejudice against women, all the women in this book have fallen into the abyss of desire, easily lured and deceived by Duroy, and become tools of power and money, which is pitiful and pathetic.
