-investigation and practice team on left-behind children in northern Jiangsu
1. Background materials:
In some economically backward areas, the number of migrant workers has increased year by year, and the number of left-behind children in rural areas has also increased. The mental health and behavioral health of left-behind children have become social problems and attracted more and more attention. The State Council, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, has repeatedly issued relevant documents, calling for further strengthening and improving the ideological and moral construction of minors, and calling on the whole society to pay attention to the healthy growth of left-behind children.
Pizhou City, Xuzhou City is located in the north of Jiangsu Province, where the economy is backward and people's living standards are low. Rural migrant workers account for a large proportion. According to incomplete statistics, more than 8% of the rural labor force in Pizhou City goes out to work, and many minor children study alone or with relatives at home. Due to the long-term separation from parents, the mental health and behavioral health of left-behind children are relatively unsatisfactory, the juvenile crime rate is high, the moral quality is not ideal, the learning enthusiasm is not high, and the academic performance is not ideal. Moreover, most of the children who drop out of school are left-behind children, which has a negative impact on local economic development and social stability, and also seriously hinders the smooth progress of building a new socialist countryside.
Left-behind children have been separated from their parents for a long time, lacking fatherly love and maternal love. There is a famous saying in the international basic education session that "a mother can surpass 1 teachers;" A father can surpass 1 principals. " From this, we can see the importance of parents' enlightenment education in their children's childhood. However, in some economically backward areas, knowledge is also backward, and the way of educating children is unscientific. Many parents believe that going out to make money can change family circumstances, create better economic conditions for children and lay a foundation for their better study, but this is not necessarily the result of imagination. Children who have been separated from their parents for a long time have changed their views on learning to some extent. Many children are tired of learning in the process of learning, and many people go downhill without accepting the education of temporary guardians and teachers. All this is terrible, it will affect the growth of flowers in the motherland, and it is a loss to society and the country!
Because of this, a group of energetic young people have come together, and we will investigate, analyze and summarize the problems that left-behind children may be involved, hoping to make a negligible contribution to the construction of new countryside in China!
Second, the purpose of the activity:
Social practice is an effective way for us college students to apply the theoretical knowledge we have learned to practice and enrich it. The construction of new countryside is in full swing, but many factors are affecting her progress, among which left-behind children in rural areas are a very serious problem. Our team will investigate and visit in rural areas according to what we know in all aspects, and go deep into the grassroots to fully understand the basic life, study and mental health of left-behind children and the attitude of the local government towards them through rich practical activities. Understand the left-behind children in an all-round way, put forward feasible plans for the existing problems, and contribute to the construction of a new socialist countryside in the country, so as to truly integrate theory with practice and deepen theory in practice.

Understand the real situation of their life and study from their behavior and language, find problems from them, and make a comprehensive analysis of their mental health and other aspects with questionnaires afterwards.

And publicize the importance of parents' education for their children.
From August 9 to August 1, I secretly visited Internet cafes, game halls and other places where minors are not allowed to enter. I counted the number of children who violated the rules by time, looked for opportunities to chat with them, learned their basic situation, that is, whether they were left-behind children, guided them to do questionnaires, and analyzed their words, deeds and questionnaires afterwards.
From August 1th to August 11th, the temporary guardian of left-behind children was investigated by questionnaire, to understand his basic views and attitudes towards children's education, and to investigate among the surrounding people to find out whether the guardian's moral behavior has a direct impact on children and his ways and attitudes towards children's discipline.
From August 12th to 13th, a group of children were organized to take advantage of the favorable conditions of Jiangou Primary School to carry out assistance activities with the temporary guardians of left-behind children, solve their problems on the spot, and publicize their ideological policies and national plans for the new countryside. At the same time, use the classroom to educate the left-behind children and organize a party with them. Around Tiefu Town Government, the publicity of the new countryside was carried out in the form of blackboard newspapers, banners, exhibition boards, leaflets and chats, highlighting the importance of parents to their children's development in childhood.
