Xin Qiji, whose original name was Tanfu, later changed to You'an and nicknamed Jiaxuan, was born in Licheng County, Jinan Prefecture, Shandong East Road (now Yaoqiang Town, Licheng District, Jinan City Sifengzha Village) people. A poet and general of the Bold and Unconstrained School in the Southern Song Dynasty, he is known as the "Dragon of Ci". Together with Su Shi, he is called "Su Xin", and together with Li Qingzhao, he is called "Jinan Er'an".

Xin's Ci poems have had a huge impact in the history of literature due to their patriotic content and innovative spirit in art.
