Streets are formed by rivers, bridges are connected with streets, houses are built by rivers, Langfang is a river port, Shui Ge is on the river, and water towns are integrated. It is a typical water town in the south of the mainland with a small bridge and flowing water. This is my impression of Zhouzhuang. The sparkling water lanes, swaying boats and swaying green shadows remind people of the famous sentence of the Yuan Dynasty: Wu follows Wu, and Wu Zhongzhou is good at going abroad. No wonder Sanmao, a female writer in Taiwan Province Province, claimed that she didn't find "the feeling of traveling" until Zhouzhuang. Russian painter Leonid called Zhouzhuang "Venice of the East", while ordinary people said that it was a great pity that you couldn't reach Zhouzhuang in the south of the Yangtze River.

Zhouzhuang is a world of water. The ancient town is surrounded by water, just like a water lily floating on the water. In other words, Zhouzhuang sleeps on water, and water is Zhouzhuang's bed. Well-preserved Ming and Qing architectural water towns, patchwork and simple folk customs, make Zhouzhuang the first water town in the south of the Yangtze River. Overlooking Zhouzhuang from a height, the lake just embraces Zhouzhuang, and the lake is slow. Although there is no rapidity of the river and impetuousness of the sea, it has its unique taste. The beauty of water flows not only in front of the door, but also in the pavilion. Occasionally, a paddle boat crosses the lake. The powerful arm of the paddle boat, the rhythmic squeak of the paddle boat and the lake water interweave into a love song of dynamic and static integration.

Where there is water, there is a bridge. The bridge in Zhouzhuang is big or small, round or straight, and the most typical one is the double bridge. This stone bridge is strong and simple. It was built in the Ming Dynasty. It consists of stone arch bridge and stone bridge. It spans two small rivers, namely Nanshi River and Yinzibang River. The bridge deck is horizontal and vertical, and the bridge holes are round and orderly arranged, just like a big lock tightly locking two small rivers. Bridges are mostly paved with bluestone slabs, and tourists of different skin colors step on them, making them lose their edges and corners and appear smooth and bright in the sun. Chen Yifei, a painter, painted an oil painting with Shuangqiao as the material, which was called Memories of Hometown. This painting was seen by American oil tycoon Hammer and given to Deng Xiaoping as a gift. The following year, this painting was selected as the first day cover of the United Nations. Since then, the little-known Shuangqiao has gone to the world, and Zhouzhuang, a water town in the south of China, is well known.

At night, in the drizzle, it is a wonderful thing to take a boat trip to Zhouzhuang waterway at night. The waterfront lights installed in the river not only set off the clear outline of each passing bridge, but also allow tourists to enjoy the charming night view. A small wooden boat with red light rippled in the river, riding on the boat, enjoying the charming night scene while listening to the melodious Suzhou Pingtan, tin opera singing and flute playing, which was beautiful. The river in Zhouzhuang is so quiet that even the ripples of the boat are hard to detect. If you didn't see the scenery on both sides turn red and green under the light, you would never believe that the ship was moving forward and the shore was sliding. On the right are rows of blue brick houses, and red lanterns are hung on the windows near the river. We can clearly see the smiling customers at the red generous dining table. This is the business department of Zhouzhuang. On the left, a blue brick house stands with its back to the water, and a willow stands next to it. Willow dragging slender wicker, kissing the river from time to time, like a affectionate girl to send affection to the river.

Early in the morning, looking out of the window, through the mist on the river at dawn in early summer, Zhouzhuang at this time is like a landscape painting with prominent wet ink, fresh and moist, with white walls and blue tiles looming in the light blue fog on the thick green river, which is a graceful girl unique to Jiangnan. The delicate smell of the town floats in the quiet air, faint, sweet and mellow, just like the smell of a baby soaked in roses. Sightseeing by boat, looking at the river bank from the boat, there are several women with flower towels washing vegetables on the stone pier. In the sound of oars, Brother Rocker greeted softly, and aunt Wu Ge on the shore sang softly and tactfully. Aquatic plants sway with the waves, and snails are densely adsorbed on the stones in the water, just like a fairy tale world. Four "well"-shaped rivers divide the ancient town, forming eight long streets and rows of wooden two-story buildings, which are scattered on both sides of the water lane. Exquisite and quaint stone arch bridge spans it. On the whitewashed window, bamboo poles stand obliquely, stirring colorful clothes and reflecting them in the water like a swaying abstract painting. Occasionally, a bucket "bursts" into the water from the window and lifts a bucket full of water. There was the sound of rowing again, but when fish, shrimp, crab, water chestnut and new lotus root came, people upstairs hung the basket with ropes and traded with it, which was very interesting.

Zhouzhuang is known as "the first water town in the south of the Yangtze River", which is actually "the town is Zeguo, surrounded by water" and "the beauty of China water town". The charm of water lanes, river ports, stone fences, arch bridges, Langfang, pavilions and courtyards is like a watercolor painting, which arouses people's infinite reverie.

"Hiding in the country with the shyness/timidity of a small jasper/hiding in the depths of eyes/showing a lovely/beautiful and dignified/gentle painting screen/beauty in Jiangnan". The ancient town in Jiangnan relies on the nourishment of water, just like the simple woman in Jiangnan, destined to be an eternal home and dream!

Water is a major feature of Zhouzhuang. So it is called the world of water.
