Liu Yimin: In 1947, Hua Luogeng came back from abroad and immediately rushed back to his hometown to visit teacher Wang Weike. After the liberation of the country, Hua Luogeng was appointed director of the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He personally visited Mr. Wang Weike at his residence in Beijing several times and invited Mr. Wang to work at the Academy of Sciences. In 1980, Hua Luogeng made a special trip back to his hometown to visit Mrs. Chen She. When Mrs. Chen She gave Hua Luogeng a new edition of Mr. Wang Weike's important translation and annotation of Dante's "Divine Comedy" signed with her name, Hua Luogeng held the Mrs. Chen's hand tightly and said very emotionally: "Thank you! Thank you! This It’s Teacher Wang’s hard work!”

Shun, one of the Five Emperors in ancient times, was the son of Gushen. I have been very filial to my parents since I was a child. His father is an honest and kind farmer. Because Shun's mother was poor, she often spoke rudely and criticized his father. Shun had a younger brother named Xiang who was often arrogant and disrespectful to his father. Only Shun remained consistent, did not complain about others, was respectful to his parents as usual, paid extra attention to his younger brother, and guided him to change his ways. This extraordinary filial piety moved God. When Shun was plowing the fields at the foot of the mountain, there were divine elephants to help him; there were also divine birds to help him hoe away weeds. When Emperor Yao heard about Shun's filial piety, he sent nine waiters to serve the Gushou couple, and married his daughters Ehuang and Nvying to Shun in recognition of his filial piety. Later, Yao also "abdicated" his throne to Shun. People praised and said that Shun's transformation from a commoner to an emperor was purely due to his filial piety.

In Yongjia County, Ruian Prefecture, Zhejiang Province during the Song Dynasty, there was a man named Chen whose name was Kan, whose courtesy name was Junhe. He was famous all over the world for his filial piety towards relatives. He served his parents with meekness and filial piety, never letting their parents have any worries. Occasionally, if his parents are sick, he will not take off his clothes, stay with them day and night, and make soup and medicine by himself. After the death of his two elders, Chen Kan was devastated and truly fulfilled the sage's teaching of "do your best in life and think about everything in death". His filial piety was set as a model for the entire family. Therefore, all future generations will follow suit, respecting the old and loving the young, brothers will be united, husbands and wives will be harmonious, and sisters-in-law will love each other. From then on, it became a legend that five generations of the Chen family lived together. The emperor of the Song Dynasty issued a banquet in Shufang and gave it the title "Chen Jun of Xiaomen" on his forehead, and the people called him "Chen Xiaomen".
