Greece1990 65438+February 2 1 When Marty came to 1955 from the 1980s, he found the time machine left by his good friend Dr. emmett Brown at 1885. I thought I could ride this machine back to the future, but I accidentally found the doctor's tombstone. It turned out that he was killed shortly after leaving the letter. In order to save Dr. Brown, Marty took the time shuttle to the western United States on 1885.
Marty went to town under the pseudonym of "Clint Eastwood" and found the doctor who was a blacksmith at that time. Just as they were about to leave the town, they found that the time shuttle with oil spill could not get the fuel supply at that time. In desperation, the doctor thought of using the thrust of the locomotive to make the time shuttle reach 88 kilometers per hour and make the machine run normally. During the field investigation, the doctor and Marty rescued a young female teacher, Miss craven Clara, who almost fell into the canyon because of the horse's fright. The doctor fell in love with her at first sight. Stern, the town's rogue "mad dog" (Biff's ancestor), has been picking on the doctor. In order to prove his position in the town, he even wanted to murder the doctor.
According to the records on the tombstone found by 1955, the date of the doctor's murder is coming soon. The plan for the doctor and Marty to return to China will soon come true, but Stern found the doctor at the first day of the dance and tried to kill him. Marty saved the doctor and made an appointment with Stern to fight the next morning. Marty knew it was the only way to save the doctor. Marty defeated Stern, who was taken away by the police, with wisdom and courage. Marty changed history!
Marty got on the time machine. At the moment he left town, the doctor decided to stay and live with his beloved Clara. Marty said goodbye to the doctor and went back to the 1980s in a flash, feeling that everything was like a dream. When Marty and his girlfriend came to the damaged space shuttle, the doctor suddenly appeared here with Clara and two sons, and gave Marty a commemorative photo. He developed a new time machine and started time travel with his family. From 1985 to 1990, the trilogy "Back to the Future" directed by Robert Zemok tells the audience a comedy story triggered by time travel in a relaxed and humorous style. This film is the last in a trilogy series. It combines all the special effects that can be used in the 1980s, but it is not limited to visual impact. Instead, it combines science fiction, romance, humor, adventure, action and other elements to launch a journey of machine and human nature for the audience. From beginning to end, the film revolves around the belief that the future is uncertain and our destiny is in our own hands. This film swept the United States, which was full of decadent, violent and even vulgar youth movies in the 1980s, and was recognized by the audience.
Christopher lloyd, the star of this film, has appeared in many sci-fi movies such as Alien Registration, Star Trek and Alien Navigator, and his performance in this film is very familiar. Another star, Michael J. Fowles, has played roles in many films, such as Lantern and Romance in the White House. At the same time, he also voiced movies such as Little Elf Mouse and Mad Dog Cat, and the actors had a strong desire to express themselves. The director of this film is more famous in Hollywood. His films such as Forrest Gump, Crisis and Survivor are believed to be familiar to the audience, and some of them will even be watched many times. A film like Back to the Future, which combines a senior director and a big-name star, I believe the audience will not miss it.
They saved the best trip for last ... but this time, they may have gone too far.
Jennifer: Dr. Brown? All the words I brought back from the future have disappeared. (Dr. Brown? I brought this note back from the future, and now it has been erased. )
Doctor: Of course it will disappear! (Erased, of course! )
Jennifer: What does this mean? (But what does this mean? )
Doctor: This means that your future has not been decided. It means that your future has not been written yet. No one has. )
Everyone's future depends on their own struggle.
Only in this way can we create a bright future. So, both of you should behave well. ) In less than a week, Back to the Future will be replayed in digital form in 300 British cinemas. In another month, the full range of Blu-ray discs will be listed in the world; Three months later, the newly-built "Back to the Future" video game will also appear black and pink ... all for the same purpose-to celebrate the 25th birthday of the most popular time travel movie in history.
Let's turn the time on the current board back to 30 years ago, trace back to the past life, a great movie, and return to the future together:
Origin:
Robert zemeckis and Bob Gale met at the Academy of Film Arts of the University of Southern California. It was "love at first sight" and they soon became writers' partners. RobertZemeckis was appreciated by Steven Allan Spielberg for his graduation short film "Field of Honor", who produced the first two films of his screenwriter partner, Family and Cheating, both of which were directed by RobertZemeckis. After the film was released, its reputation was good, but it failed at the box office. In the meantime, they also wrote a script for Spielberg's film 194 1, which eventually became a rare failure in Spielberg's career.
After "Cheating" was released, Bob Gale returned to his hometown in St. Louis to visit his parents. Gail dug out her father's high school graduation photo album in the basement of her home and accidentally found that her father was the monitor of the graduating class. Gail went back to his high school days, and he seldom touched the monitor. He can't help thinking: if he goes to high school with his father, will he become good friends? After returning to California, Gail told RobertZemeckis this idea, and she immediately thought of a scene: a mother often told her children that she never kissed a boy while studying, but in fact she was not that simple. The two men sold their ideas to Columbia Studio and successfully got the script contract, which was in September of 1980.
RobertZemeckis and Gail set the main time of the script at 1955 from the very beginning, so that the hero of 17 years old went back to meet his parents 30 years ago, and they were about the same age. In addition, this year also marks the birth of rock music and the vigorous development of suburbanization, which is very beneficial to the construction of the story. In the first draft of the script, Marty usually takes pictures in the cinema, and the time machine is the refrigerator. Marty is going to the nuclear test site in Nevada to use the energy of atomic explosion to return to the future. In this regard, RobertZemeckis is "worried that children will accidentally lock themselves in the refrigerator", and the climax of the nuclear test site is doomed to be too costly. The two eventually changed the time machine into a DeLorean sports car, on the grounds that DeLorean has a unique futuristic appearance, which can make farmers mistakenly think that the bridge of flying saucers becomes authentic. They also joined the opening scene of Marty using an oversized guitar megaphone to make the friendship between Marty and the doctor more convincing. In the stage of script writing, the biggest bottleneck they encountered was how to end their mother's infatuation with Marty. Finally, RobertZemeckis came up with this line, "It's like I'm kissing my brother". Bully Biff Tannan's surname comes from Ned Tannan, the former president of Universal Studios. He once cursed RobertZemeckis and Gail at the script meeting of The Family.
The first draft of the script was completed in February of August1year, and Colombia decided to resell the project after reading it. According to Gail, "(Colombia) thinks it will be a smart and sweet movie, but it is a bit sexy. They suggested that we show the project to Disney, and we decided to try our luck in other big factories first. " In the next four years, Back to the Future was rejected by Hollywood studios and the script was revised twice. In the early 1980s, the mainstream of youth comedies was sex comedies aimed at the adult market, such as American Open University and Bocci's. Most of the reasons why Back to the Future was rejected were that the book was not obscene enough. Gail and RobertZemeckis finally found Disney. "Their answer is that the theme of a mother falling in love with her son is not appropriate for a Disney family movie." .
As a last resort, the two began to play Spielberg's trump card in the promotion process, although the latter did not participate in the project-RobertZemeckis was afraid that if Spielberg joined, the box office would still fail and he would never have a chance to make a movie again. Gail recalled, "We were all afraid of being recognized that we got the job by our friendship with Spielberg". A producer was interested in this project, but he quit after learning that Spielberg was not involved. In desperation, RobertZemeckis put Back to the Future aside and made the film Emerald for Fox. As a result, the box office was a great success, and in an instant he became a cutting-edge director with a bright future. With this foundation, RobertZemeckis turned to Spielberg, let Universal buy back the project in the future, and finally started shooting.
At that time, Sidney Sheinberg, the president of Universal, gave many suggestions to the script. For example, Marty's mother's name changed from Meg to lorraine gary (the wife of an actor in Schenberg), and the doctor's pet changed from orangutan to dog. In addition, Shenberg was not satisfied with the title of Back to the Future, thinking that no film with the word "future" had been successful in history, and asked to change it to "Prouteau Star Visitor". He also wants Marty to call himself "darth vader from Pluto" in the scene of threatening his father in the middle of the night, instead of "darth vader from Vulcan" in the script (a double reference to Star Wars and Star Trek series); Then the cartoon in the hands of farm children was changed from "Zombies from Pluto" to "Astronauts from Pluto from prout". At this time, Spielberg played a key role. He wrote back to Shenberg, thanking him for his "joke letter" ("Dear Sid, thank you for your most humorous memo. We laughed at it. Let them come. The proud Shenberg refused to admit that he was not a joke and had to stop.
cast
The film also encountered many difficulties in casting: Michael J. Fox has always been the first choice to play Marty Peter Pan, but he encountered a scheduling conflict in the series Birth of a Family, which made him famous. Producer gary david goldberg turned down the release request because Fox was the key to the success of the play, while another star, meredith baxter, was preparing to give birth and could not play.
The release date of Back to the Future has been set at1May 1985, and the news that Fox can't play was not confirmed until the second half of 1984. RobertZemeckis's substitutes were C. Thomas Howell and Eric Stoertz, who won the appreciation of the producers and got the role because of their outstanding performance in Masks (which was not released at that time). Due to casting problems, the film release date was postponed twice.
After four weeks of filming, RobertZemeckis thought it was a mistake to choose Storroz. After consulting with Spielberg, the two decided to re-select the remake, although it would add 3 million yuan to the original budget of140 thousand. Spielberg explained to the outside world that RobertZemeckis thought Stroz had no sense of humor and his "performance was very dramatic". Gail further explained that Storroz's performance completely deviated from the role, and Fox's temperament was similar to Marty Peter Pan. For example, Storroz is not used to skateboarding, but Fox is a handy learner. In fact, two weeks after filming, Stroz confessed to Peter Bogdanovich (the director of Mask) on the phone that he was at a loss about RobertZemeckis and Gail's instructions and that it was a mistake to take the show.
1985 1 month, meredith baxter came back from giving birth and returned to the crew of "The Birth of a Family", and Michael J. Fox's schedule finally got a gap. The cast of Back to the Future met Goldberg again, who finally agreed to give up Fox, on condition that the priority would always be on the side of the series. If there is a time conflict, "we won". Fox likes scripts very much; RobertZemeckis and Gail spoke highly of him and dismissed Stroz without hesitation, which also left a deep impression on Fox. In order to shoot the key skateboarding scenes in the film, Gail went to Venice Beach, California, and found two skateboarders to join the crew, namely, the then European champion Pell Welinder and the future star of extreme sports Tony Hawk. They made body double for Stolos in many scenes. When Fox joined the crew, body double was forced to re-elect because the height difference between them was too great. Fox thinks the role of Marty Peter Pan is very personal to him. "In high school, I lived a life of skateboarding and chasing girls to play bands, and even dreamed of becoming a rock star."
The first choice for the role of Doctor Brown is john lithgow, who can't play because of schedule conflict. Neil Canton, the producer, recommended christopher lloyd, and they collaborated on the film Born to Love God. Lloyd turned down the role at first, but after reading the script, he changed his mind-thanks to his wife's support. Lloyd's interpretation of this role was inspired by Einstein and the great conductor stokowski, who improvised in many plays. In the movie, the doctor pronounced the word "gigawatts" as "jigowatts", which came from a physicist that RobertZemeckis and Gail met while studying the script.
Crispin glover plays his father, George Peter Pan. According to RobertZemeckis, most of the weirdness of the characters in the book comes from Glover's personal creation, such as the habit of shaking hands. RobertZemeckis also joked, "You have to keep casting a net at Christine (to remind him) because he is distracted half the time when he interprets the role".
Lea Thompson won the role of her mother, Lorraine Peter Pan, because she played opposite Stross in Wild Animals. The old makeup at the beginning of the movie takes her three and a half hours at a time.
After the initial choice of J.J. Cohen was abandoned, Thomas F. Wilson got the role of bullying Biff Tannan-because Cohen didn't look old enough to bully Stroz, he finally played one of Biff's accomplices. If Fox comes out at first, Cohen will probably get the role of Biff, because he is much taller than Fox.
Interestingly, Michael J. Fox's real age is only ten days younger than his mother Lea Thompson in the movie, and nearly three years older than his father crispin glover. (Marty's primitive time and space) The first time and space:
