Introduction to Fan Zhongyan
Fan Zhongyan (1041-1107), courtesy name Xiwen and nickname Wenzheng, was a Han nationality from Lin'an Prefecture (now Lin'an, Zhejiang Province). A politician, writer, and military strategist in the Northern Song Dynasty, he was honored as Fan Wenzhenggong. His father was a military general, and Fan Zhongyan also received military education.
