# internship report # Introduction Through the training of fitters, I realized that fitters are mainly manual operations and use various tools to complete the processing, assembly and repair of parts. Compared with mechanical processing, the labor intensity is high and the production efficiency is low, but it can complete the work that is inconvenient or difficult to complete by mechanical processing. At the same time, the equipment is simple, so it is an indispensable and important type of work. I have compiled "Three Examples of Fitter Training Reports" compiled for you. I hope it will be helpful to you!
Chapter 1
In the blink of an eye, the two-year theoretical and practical study of fitter is over. Although it was tiring and hard during the internship, I felt very happy! Because while I learned the necessary knowledge as a fitter, I also exercised my hands-on ability. And it also made me more deeply appreciate the true meaning of the great poet Li Bai's saying: As long as you work hard, an iron pestle can be ground into a needle! Through the teacher's explanation. I finally understood what a fitter is. At the same time, I also understood why some people say "Being a fitter is the most tiring!"
Fitter internship is an effective way to cultivate students' practical ability. It is also a required course for us future senior skilled workers, especially students studying mechanical assembly and maintenance fitters. It is a very important and particularly meaningful required course. The fitter internship is another opportunity for us to actually master knowledge. Without the rigorous environment of the classroom, we will feel the atmosphere of the workshop. At the same time, we also feel more about the mood of being a worker, which makes us more aware of the responsibilities we shoulder.
From safety education, movement essentials and tool use to the actual operation of picking up a file, this is undoubtedly a transition between theory and practice. Some things need to be explored by oneself, and some things need to be discovered from theory and used in practice. From the beginning of polishing the surface, I learned that it is not that simple to do something well, and I have to use reality to prove it. What you see is not necessarily true (the plane looks flat, but you can find its shortcomings after measuring the light); this reminds me of why the school wants us to come here for internship. It is to let us understand the value of learning, which is the same as polishing the plane. It takes a meticulous spirit to do it, and at the same time, we also need to realize the importance of hands-on work. Just blindly learning theory is not enough. Without practical experience, you will not be able to discover your own hands-on ability. This requires a combination of theory and practice. It also requires the cooperation of the mind and hands.
From surface grinding to marking and dotting; from shaping to drilling; from reaming to tapping, I learned something at every step that others cannot take away. From here, I learned what a fitter is and that the main contents of a fitter are scribing, carving, filing, grinding, drilling, reaming, reaming, tapping, etc. Understand the structure of files; classification, selection, filing posture, filing method and quality detection.
The fitter internship has trained us and improved our overall comprehensive quality, so that we not only have a deep understanding of the importance of the fitter internship, but also improved our practical ability, making us better Combine theory with practice. It consolidates the knowledge we have learned and at the same time allows us to learn the professionalism of the teacher. The teacher took the trouble to find errors in our operations. We also promoted the spirit of unity and mutual assistance and promoted friendship among classmates.
During the internship process, we achieved the results of our labor-exquisite nuts. Seeing that this exquisite workpiece was made by myself, this sense of pride and accomplishment is difficult to express in words. I didn’t expect that something so big at the beginning would now be turned into a beautiful workpiece by grinding it out step by step. This is what people say, “As long as you work hard, an iron pestle can be ground into a needle”!
The fitter internship was short and hard, but what I learned is precious. It made me realize the hard work and happiness of being a worker, and at the same time consolidated my knowledge. All of this gave me I have great memories.
After three weeks of benchwork internship, what I have learned and experienced cannot be obtained from the classroom or the teacher. What is meant by "practice brings true knowledge", regardless of your theoretical studies. No matter how good it is, it will be of no use if your practical ability is poor. I believe that after this fitter internship, I will lay a solid foundation for my subsequent "turner" and "welder" internships in a great sense.
Part 2
The two-week fitter training is over. Although we were very tired during the training, we were very happy because we learned a lot of useful things. I also exercised my hands-on ability. Although the practical training period is only a short two weeks, it is only a small part of our three-year college life, but it is a very important part. For us, it is difficult to forget. After all, it is a real training period. Experience society and life.
Important safety
When conducting fitter training, safety issues must be placed first. Through the master's explanation, we learned about the dangerous operations that students are prone to make during practical training. For example, playing around in the workshop, operating machine tools without the permission of the master, and using incorrect methods and postures, etc. An unintentional action or a small negligence may lead to mechanical accidents or even personal safety accidents.
Through this benchwork training, I learned the basic knowledge and basic operating methods of metal processing. Mainly learned the following aspects of knowledge: basic metal processing types include the operations of fitters, lathes, cast welders, etc.
The first item: Hard-working fitter
In the fitter training, we learned that the main contents of fitter are scraping, drilling, tapping, sawing, and filing , assembly, and marking; understood the structure, classification, selection, filing posture, filing method and quality detection of files. First of all, you must hold the file correctly. Keeping the file in a straight motion when filing flat surfaces is the key to filing. There are two types of filing force: horizontal thrust and vertical pressure. When the file is advanced, the pressure of the front hand gradually decreases and the pressure of the back hand decreases gradually. When the file is pushed to the middle position, the pressure of both hands is the same. When the file continues to be advanced, the pressure of the front hand gradually decreases and then the pressure increases. The file returns without applying pressure. This makes filing easier. At the same time, I also learned that the safety techniques for fitters are: 1. The bench should be placed in a place that is convenient for work and with suitable light; the drill press and grinding wheel should generally be placed on the edge of the site to ensure safety. 2. When using machine tools and tools (such as drill presses, grinding wheels, electric hand drills, etc.), check them frequently. If they are found to be damaged, they must not be used until they are repaired before use. 3. When clamping tools with a bench vise, do not use a hammer to hit the vise handle or steel pipe to apply clamping force.
Then comes scraping, grinding, drilling, reaming, tapping, etc. Although it is not very standard, it is the crystallization of our sweat and the result of our two days of hard work.
To be honest, the training of fitters is very boring. You may work all morning but you are doing the same action over and over again. You still need to have the strength and do it right, that is, hold the file in your hand and press it on the workpiece. I filed back and forth, and by noon, my hands were sore and my legs were a little stiff when I stood up. However, every time I got tired, I could see the teacher guiding me and demonstrating in person. He also My head is covered with sweat and I am panting. Seeing this always gives me motivation. A few days later, looking at our processing results, what we want to say most is to thank the teacher who guided us.
Second Item: Easy Turning
Turning is not done by CNC, it requires high manual operation ability. First, the teacher asked us to read a book while familiarizing ourselves with the various components of the lathe. The lathe mainly consists of a gearbox, a spindle box, a wheel box, a feed box, a slide box, a tool rest, a tailstock, a bed, a lead screw, a light Composed of levers and joysticks. The lathe is operated through various handles. The teacher explained to us the functions of each handle, and then asked us to process a spindle, two small wheels and two large wheels. The teacher first demonstrated the operation method and processed part of it, and then let us start processing. A very important aspect in lathe processing is to choose the correct knife. At the beginning we need to turn a file handle. This is really a test for people like us who have never used a lathe.
I kept turning the horizontal and vertical control handles and worked carefully for a whole afternoon. When I thought it was almost done, I was ready to make the final cut, but I was too hasty and reduced the diameter of the arc. Got it! I feel so sad, so miserable! The most uncomfortable thing is that my calves hurt after standing all day. But the joy of success when I handed over the finished parts of the car to the teacher made me forget about the pain in my calves from standing. This joy of success can only be felt through personal participation in practical training.
As college students, we have experienced more than ten years of theoretical study. We have been told more than once that there is a gap between theoretical knowledge and practice. However, we have never taken this sentence seriously and have not had the opportunity to verify it. How big is the actual gap between this sentence? The benchwork training gave us an opportunity to actually master knowledge. Leaving the rigorous environment of the classroom, we felt the atmosphere in the workshop. The studious eyes of the students and the serious and patient operations of the instructors constitute a common sight in the workshop. We who have been in the classroom for a long time have felt the importance of hands-on ability. Actual work cannot be completed by just relying on mental thinking and guessing. Only by possessing a scientific knowledge system and mastering practical abilities proficiently, including mechanical operation and experience Only through continuous accumulation can knowledge be applied flexibly and effectively to practical work. Fitter training is an effective way to cultivate students' practical ability. This is another kind of learning classroom. Through our hands-on practice, we supplement and question the theoretical knowledge we have mastered. This is exactly the opposite of traditional classroom education. These two learning methods complement each other and can fill in the gaps and make up for some of the blind spots of one of them. Through the fitter training, the overall feeling is that the actual production method is still relatively backward. We are still unable to actually operate the advanced equipment introduced in the book. The equipment in the practical training is often characterized by high labor intensity and low technological content, but there are still some basics. Knowledge can be applied in practice.
Part 3
In the second semester of the 20xx academic year, we conducted a 2-week metalworking internship at the old campus training center. During this period, we were exposed to basic operating skills and safety technology tutorials for fitters and welders. Every week, everyone has to learn a new technology and complete the process from knowing nothing about each type of work to producing one or two finished products in a few days of internship. With the teachers' patient and meticulous teaching and our active cooperation, we did not have a single injury accident, basically met the expected internship requirements, and successfully completed the 2-week internship.
During the internship, we made our own handicrafts by learning fitters and welders. The hardest worker is the fitter, and the fitter is the most physically demanding. Fitter is mainly manual operation and uses various tools to complete the processing, assembly and repair of parts. Compared with mechanical processing, the labor intensity is high and the production efficiency is low, but it can complete the work that is inconvenient or difficult to complete by mechanical processing. At the same time, the equipment is simple, so it is still an indispensable and important type of work in machinery manufacturing and repair work. During the benchwork internship, we learned that the main contents of benchwork are: drilling, tapping, threading, sawing, and filing. We also learned about the structure, classification, filing posture, filing method, and quality inspection of files. The status and important role of fitters in machine manufacturing and equipment maintenance.
The equipment of the fitter factory is relatively simple, because most of it is manual labor. During this day, in order to familiarize us with the basic work operations of a fitter and to exercise our hands-on ability and will, we will make a 36mm nut. From cutting off iron plates to filing parallel planes, from drilling holes to screwing threads, it is not an easy job. When we just watched the teacher's demonstration, we were all stunned. Is it possible? Is it necessary to stage a modern version of grinding an iron pestle into a needle?
Due to time constraints, the teacher didn’t say much. He just introduced how to use a vise, file and saw, and then asked us to use an iron plate as the material to process a nut with a diameter of 36mm. , you need to file the six sides of the nut, of course drill holes, and finally make six chamfers. After hearing this, my heart skipped a beat. How long would it take to process a piece of iron plate into a nut? First, cut the iron plate into a diameter-long section with a hand saw. Cutting the iron is not an easy task. You need to master a certain method. Use your right hand to hold the handle and your left hand to support the bow. The thrust and pressure are mainly controlled by your right hand. , be careful not to put too much pressure on the left hand. The standing posture is such that the front of the body is at an angle of about 45 degrees to the center line of the bench vise, the right foot is at an angle of 75 degrees to the center line of the bench vise, and the left foot is at an angle to the center line of the bench vise. 30 degree angle. Using the right method can save effort and improve efficiency. Then use a ruler to draw the size of the nut, and finally shape the drawn nut. After finishing, the next step is to file the six sides. Flattening the bumpy sides is not an easy task. You also need to master the correct method. The key is to keep the movement of the file horizontal, which depends on the process of cutting. This can be achieved by gradually adjusting the pressure on both hands. During the setting process, use a square ruler from time to time to check whether it has been set flat.
After finishing, I went on to beat out the other sides. After working for more than three hours, I finally finished the six sides in a rough way. The next step is to drill holes and tap screws, which is also not an easy job! Everything must be done carefully and according to the steps. Finally, the hard work pays off! Although many students had blisters on their hands and were sore all over after a few days, everyone was overjoyed and felt a sense of accomplishment when they saw the finished product they had made in the factory for the first time in their lives.
Internship experience:
① This internship allowed us to cultivate, improve and strengthen our engineering practice in the process of understanding, familiarizing and mastering certain basic engineering knowledge and operating skills. Ability, innovative consciousness and innovative ability.
② Cultivate and exercise labor concepts, quality and economic concepts, strengthen the consciousness of observing labor disciplines, complying with safety technical rules and caring for national property, and improve our overall comprehensive quality. Metalworking internship plays a comprehensive training role in cultivating our engineering qualities and abilities. It not only requires us to learn the basic process knowledge of various types of work, understand the equipment principles and working processes, but also strengthen the training of practical hands-on ability and have the ability to apply The process knowledge learned and the ability to initially analyze and solve simple process problems.
③During the entire internship process, we have very strict disciplinary requirements. We have formulated a student internship code. At the same time, we have strengthened the requirements for filling in internship reports, cleaning up the work site, and complying with the safe operating procedures of the type of work. We also have strict requirements for students. It has played a good role in promoting the cultivation of comprehensive engineering quality.
④The teachers of the training center announced to us the scoring standards of our processed products, so that we have a clear understanding of the scores of our products, which plays a certain role in improving our quality awareness. For our metalworking internship results, we implement a comprehensive evaluation system, and implement daily results + product quality results + comprehensive examination results = total score, so that we can take each type of work and each internship link seriously.
⑤I had deep feelings during the internship. I am very grateful to the school for providing us with this internship opportunity, which allowed us to experience the difficulty of studying engineering in advance and gained things that we could not get in the classroom and could not have imagined. I may not be able to take this position in the future, but the knowledge and feelings I have learned now will be unforgettable for a lifetime. Although it is a bit dirty and tiring, it doesn’t matter. What is important is that we have gained something and achieved results. The two-week metalworking internship brought us not only the operational skills that we were exposed to, nor just the several abilities that we were required to exercise through several types of work, but more that each of us needed to learn after the internship. Understand and reflect on your own situation, work hard to encourage yourself, and gain something, so that this internship can achieve its true purpose.
