Rites govern the country, determine the country, order the people, and benefit heirs; luxury always follows promiscuity, and promiscuity always follows luxury; poverty without flattery, wealth without arrogance.
Be careful not to say or do bad things even when you are alone, but learn to be more shameful in your own presence than in the presence of others.
