Traditional views on the cause of death

Monroe's body was found by Enniki Murray, the housekeeper who lived with her. This was appointed by Ralph Gleason, a psychologist in Monroe. Interestingly, a few days after Monroe's death, Murray went to the bank to cash a $200 check signed by Monroe. But Citibank in Beverly Hills refused to accept it and pointed out that the check had expired not long ago. At present, this check is still kept in the Monroe exhibition hall of the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. In the 1970s, Murray finally told some unknown details about the night of Monroe's death in the book Marilyn, the Last Months.

1982, Los Angeles police formally investigated the cause of Monroe's death, but found no strong criminal evidence. Dr. Thomas Noguchi, who is in charge of the examination of the remains (he is also the examining doctor in Robert Kennedy, Natalie Wood and william holden), wrote in the book Coroner: Marilyn's death was probably suicide. However, he also admitted that no lethal sleeping pills were found in his stomach during the test. Therefore, some people think that Monroe caused this tragedy through intravenous drug injection.

However, in March 2007, the latest documents declassified by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation showed that Monroe's death was related to being cheated by her friends, suggesting that then US Attorney General Robert Kennedy also knew something about the plan.
