What are China's novels in Ming and Qing Dynasties?
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the creation of China's classical novels reached its peak. The achievement of short stories in Ming Dynasty is the summary and arrangement of scripts in Song and Yuan Dynasties, and five sets of short vernacular novels with "three words and two beats" have been published. In the middle of Ming Dynasty, Feng Menglong compiled three collections of short vernacular novels, namely "Yu's Ming Yan" (formerly known as "Ancient and Modern Novels"), "Shi Jing" and "Xing Yan", which are collectively called "Sanyan", each of which includes 40 novels, *** 120. Some of these works are the processing of scripts in Song and Yuan Dynasties, some are folk creations in Ming Dynasty or Feng himself. "Sanyan" has a wide range of subjects, reflecting the social life of the civil class at that time, the spirit of anti-traditional forces and the consciousness of pursuing freedom and equality. In terms of art, Sanyan is a step ahead of the previous generation in terms of story plot and character description. After Sanyan, Ling Yingchu's first shock and second shock appeared in the late Ming Dynasty, commonly known as "Erpai". I received 40 copies in the first moment, and 39 copies in the second moment, and a play was produced. Although the ideological and artistic value of "Er Pai" is not as good as that of "San Yan", it has a great influence on later generations. After the "Second Auction", until the Qing Dynasty, there were still many writers who created short stories with some special collections, but after the Qianlong period, the stories gradually declined and disappeared. The existing works include Stone Nodding, Drunken Stone, Two episodes of West Lake, Painting among People, Three Carvings, and so on. In the Qing Dynasty, there were Shi Zhaobei, Doupeng Gossip, West Lake Story, Twelfth Floor (also known as Shi Jue's famous sentence) and so on. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Wonders of the Past and Present, edited by the signature "Old Man Holding an urn", is a collection of stories, with a total of 40 episodes. It is a compilation of 40 stories selected from Sanyan Erpai, which has been widely circulated for hundreds of years. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, besides vernacular short stories, a large number of classical Chinese short stories appeared, such as Qu You's Four Notes on Cutting Lights in Ming Dynasty, Li Changqi's Four Notes on Cutting Lights, Zhao Bi's Three Effective Stories and Ji Yunqing's Notes on Reading Wei Caotang. But the greatest achievement is Pu Songling's Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio in Qing Dynasty. This excellent collection of short stories consists of 4,965,438+0 works, most of which are based on folklore and anecdotes of unofficial history, and have become brilliant classical Chinese novels after artistic processing by the author. By talking about ghosts and foxes, the novel expresses the author's resentment against the dark reality and embodies the author's love and hate. The works in the book are ingenious in conception, full of romanticism, touching in plot twists and turns, and refined in language, which is indeed the artistic peak of China's classical short stories. Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio is widely circulated, and the existing manuscripts, manuscripts, block prints and comments have been handed down from generation to generation.
