This is a famous poem about orchids by Su Che in the Song Dynasty. Orchids do not wither in severe cold, and are fragrant and noble. They are praised almost overwhelmingly by all other flowers: "Fragrant Ancestor", "Fragrance of the King", "Beauty in the Empty Valley", "Gentleman among Flowers". Orchids are one of the top ten famous flowers loved by the Chinese people and have a long history of cultivation. Famous painters Zhao Meng and Zheng Sixiao in the Song Dynasty, Zheng Banqiao in the Qing Dynasty, and Wu Changshuo, a modern art master, are all famous for their paintings of orchids. Zhao Meng's "Orchid" painting is the earliest orchid scroll preserved in my country. There is a poem inscribed on the painting: "In June, the heat in Hunan is steaming, and the fragrance is refreshing. The rising sun in the mountains and the birds in the forest, their mouths are full of lovesickness on the February day"; Another poem says: "Bamboos, rocks and orchids are one family, and the righteousness of the universe is here. No matter how frost and snow freeze in the canal, the greenness will never be reduced." The elegance and beauty of orchids are written from different angles. Zheng Banqiao is good at orchid painting and calligraphy. He is known as "Writing orchid in Banqiao is like writing orchids, with graceful and graceful waves. Painting orchids in Banqiao is like writing, with beautiful leaves and sparse flowers showing their beauty." The older generation of revolutionaries Dong Biwu, Zhu De and Chen Yi all liked orchids. Dong Biwu has a high level of orchid appreciation. He said: "Orchids have four qualities: Qi Qing, posture Qing, spirit Qing, and rhyme Qing." This can be said to be a famous saying for orchid appreciation.

Zhu De loved orchids all his life and admired the noble and elegant nature of orchids. In March 1961, when he visited Yuexiu Park in Guangzhou, he admired the orchids with great interest and wrote the famous sentence "Only orchids have the right fragrance and are valuable to Wuyang City for a while." The poem "Ode to Orchids" says: "The East thaws and new buds sprout, and the fragrant stamens welcome the spring to see the beauty of things. The original national color is lightly dressed, and the fragrance is pure. Who can win the orchid?" And Chen Yi's poem "Orchid": "The orchid is in the valley, it is from its origin. No one knows it.
