The Fuchun River in Hangzhou is world-famous. Many people know this place and go there, especially in spring and autumn. It is a good place for walking and traveling. The place I want to introduce to you this time is not the Fuchun River, but the Yanziling Diaoyutai on the Fuchun River. This is a place that isn’t often mentioned or touched upon, but I wanted to introduce the differences here.

On the picturesque Fuchun River, after passing the Small Three Gorges, the Yanziling Diaoyutai, the main attraction on the Fuchun River, slowly emerges from the water. Its specific location is Diaoyutai at the foot of Fuchun Mountain in Tonglu, 15 kilometers south of Yanziling City. It goes without saying that it is named after a person, Yan Ziling.

Yan Ziling, a hermit in the early Eastern Han Dynasty, studied with Liu Xiu when he was young. After Liu Xiu ascended the throne, Yan Ziling did not want to be an official, so he found a place to live in seclusion by the Fuchun River. Later, Liu Xiu invited him again and again, but he could not let Yan Ziling come out.

As a Diaoyutai historic site, Yanziling Diaoyutai ranks first among more than ten "Diaoyutai" historic sites in China and is world-famous. The "fishing platform" here is also a real fishing platform. On the original boat in Longmen Bay, what you can see are the "tentacles" extending out of the dock. It looks extremely dangerous, but it is actually very safe.

After boarding the Diaoyutai and the pier, several stone tablets are clearly visible, using various fonts to depict the impressions of the world. After passing the stone monument, you will find the entrance of Yan Ziling Ancestral Hall. After the entrance, a whole horizontal stone tablet appeared in front of us. On it was a part of "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains", which was carved bit by bit with stone carvings.

It is said that it will take half a month to complete the work. The Fuchun Mountain above has experienced the sculpting of time, becoming darker and darker, becoming more and more shiny. It feels smooth to the touch with one hand, so realistic.

On the west side of Diaoyutai is the newly built Yanjiang Teacher Ancestral Hall. On the east wall of the temple, there is a stone tablet written by Fan Zhongyan of the Song Dynasty. In the article, the famous saying "The mountains are green and the water is dense" has been passed down to this day. There are two stone tablets on both sides of the main hall, namely "Guest Star" and "Diaoyotai". The origin of the "guest star" is also related to Liu Xiu's invitation to Yan Ziling as an official. It is the product of Liu Xiu's trust in his teacher.

The Diaoyutai is divided into two parts, the east and west. They are both rocks on the mountain about 70 and a half meters high, more than 80 meters apart. There is a "Shuangqing Pavilion" at the fork of the rock climbing path, which was built during the Republic of China. The couplets in the pavilion are: "Go fishing in Tainan, you will feel refreshed; "The wind of thinking about the teacher, the mountains are high and the water is long". At Dongtai Yan Fishing Ground, there are huge stones such as bamboo shoots, which are said to support hanging poles. The stone pavilion was built during the Qianlong period and is very simple.

On the way to Dongtai, there is a corridor running from east to west, the "Fuchun River Poetry Stele Forest", where poems from past dynasties have been collected, and calligraphers from all over the country have erected monuments and biographies, making it a spectacular sight. There are more than 20 stone statues of ancient literary greats such as Li Bai, Bai Juyi, Lu You and Fan Zhongyan scattered in the dense forest at the foot of the mountain.

At the foot of the mountain, an exciting speedboat adventure is waiting for you. In this project, you can choose to get wet or not, and the driver is very talkative. I was riding a speedboat on the river. Suddenly, the driver swayed the speedboat from side to side, and it felt like the boat was about to capsize. This exciting pleasure filled my whole body.

The Yanziling Diaoyutai Scenic Area is not only an attraction in Yanziling, but also Longmen Bay and the Little Three Gorges, which are usually sold in the form of combined tickets. It's worth wasting a beautiful day here. Wandering on the river, wandering in the forest.

Self-driving: Depart from Hangzhou, starting from the southeast, drive along Hangzhou-Xinjing Expressway, direction G25, and exit Fuchunjiang S210 exit.
