What does "Zhuzhuzan" mean?
Bamboo sticks are tall and straight, slender, graceful, green all the year round and proud of the rain, which are deeply loved by our people. It has the reputation of one of the four gentlemen of Mei Lan, Zhu Ju and Mei Songzhu. Su Dongpo famously said, "Living without bamboo is better than eating without meat".
