Trimmed bamboo: slender bamboo. No matter what kind of bamboo it is, it is slender and straight, so it is called xiuzhu. Originated from Wang Jinxi's Preface to Lanting Collection: "There are mountains here and bamboo in Maolin."
To praise bamboo is to praise bamboo. I don't know who wrote this poem, but it lacks skill and is not top grade. When folk artists do it, they interpret it according to the meaning of the poem: when a woman misses her lover with a bamboo-like character outside the Great Wall.
