Ma Liang's story outline
Ma Liang is a diligent, hardworking and ambitious child. He lost his parents when he was a child and his family was poor. He lives by collecting firewood and mowing grass. However, he was not discouraged by his poor life and was bent on learning painting skills. He practices hard every day and learns to describe birds in the sand and fish in the stone. In the evening, I took a piece of charcoal and reviewed my paintings during the day on the cave wall. Later, he finally got a magic pen. He used it to draw birds, and birds flew in the sky. Draw a fish and it will swim in the water. The greedy rich man knew about it and asked Ma Liang to draw him a big ingot. Ma Liang refused and was put in the stable. Ma Liang pulled a ladder and ran away; He drew another big horse for the rich to ride, but the rich couldn't catch up.
The emperor wanted Ma Liang to paint, but Ma Liang didn't want to, so he put him in prison. Ma Liang drew an island, a glittering cash cow and a big wooden boat on the island. When the emperor, ministers and generals went by boat to get money, the wind and waves swallowed them all up. After the death of the emperor, the story of "magic pen and good horse" spread. However, where did Ma Liang go after that? No one is interested. Some said: He went back to his hometown in Henan, where he was with his farming partners. Some said: He wandered around and painted for many poor people.
