Plot summary

Huang Jiang (played by Anthony Wong) and Qixi (played by Liu Qingwan) are both detectives and share the same love as brothers. Huang Jiang is an upright and selfless man who only wants to fight criminal syndicates. Qixi and gang boss Blind Chao (played by Wu Zhenyu) are eight-year-old brothers. Once, Huang Jiang set up a dragnet to capture Blind Chao. Qixi went to the people to report the news and led Blind Chao to escape, but was caught by Huang Jiang.

The three of them faced off on the rooftop. After three gunshots, Qixi and Blind Chao were both shot to death. It was later ruled that Qixi died in the line of duty. His relationship with Blind Chao was unknown because Huang Jiang had not killed him yet. At Qixi's funeral hall, Qixi's wife pointed to Huang Jiang and told her son Ke Ke (played by Huang Haoran) to avenge his father when he grows up.
