What did Herodotus say about the Egyptians?
Herodotus once mentioned that the Egyptians were the first people who claimed the immortality of the soul. Egyptians believe in immortality after death. In the ancient Egyptian concept, life has two elements: one is human body, and the other is soul. After death, the soul can fly away from the corpse freely, but the corpse is still the foundation of the existence of the soul.
