Sun Simiao, a medical scientist in the Tang Dynasty, wrote "Great Doctor Sincerity", saying: "All great doctors should be calm, have no desire or desire, show great compassion first, and swear for spiritual suffering ... to avoid danger, day and night, cold and heat, hunger and fatigue, and devote themselves wholeheartedly to rescue, without a hard heart. This can be a great doctor for life. "
"Xinglin is warm in spring"
"Xinglin Spring Warmth" is often used to praise doctors with superb medical skills and noble medical ethics.
According to legend, during the Three Kingdoms period, the famous doctor Dong Feng lived in seclusion in Lushan Mountain. He never collects medical expenses, as long as the cured patients plant apricot trees. A few years later, countless people were cured, and hundreds of thousands of apricot trees became a forest. Whenever the apricots are ripe, Dong Feng will post a notice saying that anyone who comes here to buy apricots will exchange rice for apricots without charge. Then, Dong Feng used all the rice he received to help the poor. The villagers admired Dong Feng's character and medical ethics, so they wrote a banner of "Xinglin is warm in spring" and hung it at his door. Since then, the word "apricot blossoms and spring warmth" has gradually spread and is still in use today.
"hanging pot helps the world"
There is a strange legend in the Book of Southern Han Dynasty: there was a man named Fei Changfang in the Eastern Han Dynasty. One day, while drinking in a restaurant, he happened to see an old man selling medicine in the street, hanging a gourd to sell pills and powder. After selling for a while, the pedestrians in the street gradually dispersed and the old man quietly got into the gourd.
Fei Changfang saw clearly that the old man was by no means an idle man. He bought wine and meat and paid a respectful visit to the old man. Knowing his purpose, the old man led him into the gourd. When I opened my eyes, I saw the architecture painted by Zhu Lan, which was magnificent and colorful, just like the Qiongge in the fairy mountain. Later, Fei Changfang learned magic from the old man for more than ten days. Before leaving, the old man gave him a bamboo pole and rode like a fly.
When he returned to his hometown, his family thought he was dead. It turns out that more than ten years have passed. From then on, it took a long time to cure all diseases, drive away the plague and bring people back to life.
This is just a myth and legend, but it puts on a "mysterious coat" for practitioners. Later, in order to commemorate the legendary doctor, folk doctors hung a gourd at the entrance of the drugstore as a sign of practicing medicine. Nowadays, although the "hanging pot" of traditional Chinese medicine is rare, the word "hanging pot" has always been retained.
