The theater was founded in 1953, and it has been half a century since then. As a provincial-level key troupe in Hunan Province, Days of Our Lives has created a unique "flower-saving way" and "flower-saving school" in the past 50 years, which has produced a deep audience base and extensive social influence on the land of Sanxiang and created a large number of flowers.
The theater is one of the ten groups that have made outstanding achievements in the compilation and creation of modern operas in China, which was commended by the Ministry of Culture. It rehearsed traditional dramas and new costume dramas and created more than 200 performances. The repertoire created has won many national awards such as "Five One Project Award", "Wenhua Award" and "Wenhua Award", and was nominated for the National Stage Art Boutique Project twice, and won the grand prize in 2007-2008. The theater has performed in Beijing for many times with outstanding plays, which has been warmly received, praised and encouraged by the state, and has formed a series of works such as The Golden Toad, Sanliwan, Playing Gong, Mending Pot, Shajiabang, Yeyadao, Eight Officials, Happy Case and Peach Blossom Garden. 1983, Liu Hai Xi Jin Chan, a drama created and performed by the theater, was invited to perform in the United States, attracting foreign audiences. The New York Times and many media have published more than 40 articles of praise, arguing that China local operas have successfully entered the international stage, which is a wonderful combination of modern science and technology and traditional arts. In 2000, the theater went to Taiwan Province Province to participate in the "Cross-Strait Small Opera Exhibition and Academic Conference", and returned home with praise. In 200 1 year1October, the classic drama Liu Hai Xi Jin Chan of our college went to Sweden and Denmark for cultural exchange performance again, and its fragrance floated overseas, becoming a friendly messenger to spread Huxiang culture and a cultural link to connect Sanxiang children with overseas Chinese.
Fifty years of hard work and innovation, relying on the spirit of "being the first" of Hunan people, the theater not only witnessed the history of xiang opera's reform, but also achieved the glory of Hunan local operas. Great joy contains sorrow, great vulgarity contains elegance, beautiful flowers, and drum music gives birth to feelings.
