In the autumn of 1941, the Japanese invaders concentrated their forces and launched a massive attack on the Langya Mountain area in our Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei base area. At that time, the Seventh Company was ordered to persist in guerrilla warfare in this area. After more than a month of heroic fighting, the Seventh Company decided to move to the Dragon King Temple area, and handed over the task of covering the masses and the company's transfer to the Sixth Squadron.
In order to hold back the enemy, the five soldiers of the 7th Company and the 6th Squadron beat the chasing enemies hard while retreating in a planned manner, leading a large number of enemies to Langya Mountain. They took advantage of the difficult terrain to defeat the charging enemies time and time again.
Squad leader Ma Baoyu calmly directed the battle and let the enemy get closer before ordering a severe blow. Deputy squad leader Ge Zhenlin roared as soon as he fired a shot, as if the small muzzle of the gun couldn't spray out his full anger.
Soldier Song Xueyi threw a grenade and swung his arm in a circle to use all his strength. The two young soldiers, Hu Delin and Hu Fucai, tensed their faces and concentrated on aiming and shooting at the enemy. The battle went on for a long time, but the enemy was still unable to move forward. On the rugged mountain road, many enemy corpses were lying strewn about.
The five warriors successfully completed the cover mission and prepared to move. There are two roads in front of us: one leads to the direction of the transfer of the main force. Taking this road can catch up with the company quickly, but with the enemy following behind, it is easy to expose the people and the main force of the company;
The other is through Towards the top of Qipantuo with cliffs on three sides. Which way to go? In order to protect the people and the main force of the company, the squad leader said firmly: "Let's go!" and took the lead to walk towards Qipantuo. The soldiers were excited and followed closely behind the squad leader. They knew that the squad leader was going to lead the enemy to a dead end.
The five warriors climbed towards the top while relying on trees and rocks to shoot at the enemy.
Many enemy corpses were left on the mountain road. They led the enemy to the top of Langya Mountain, which was surrounded by cliffs on three sides.
The five strong men continued to shoot at the enemy from a high position. Many enemies fell into the mountain stream and were shattered into pieces. Squad leader Ma Baoyu was wounded and all the bullets were fired. Only Hu Fucai still had a grenade left in his hand.
Just as he was about to unscrew the lid, Ma Baoyu took a step forward, grabbed the grenade and inserted it into his waist. He suddenly raised a stone as big as a millstone and shouted: "Comrades! Hit it with stones!"
Suddenly, the stones were like hailstones, carrying the determination of the five warriors and the hatred of the Chinese people, and smashed them on the enemy's head. There was a burst of chirping sounds from the hillside, and the enemies rolled down the deep ravine one after another.
Another group of enemies rushed forward. The squad leader pulled out the grenade with a whoosh, unscrewed the cap, and threw it at the enemy with all his strength. Grenades exploded among the enemy.
The five warriors stood on the top of Langya Mountain, looking at the direction in which the masses and the main force of the army were retreating. They looked back at the enemy who was still climbing up, with the joy of victory on their faces.
