The name "Company of Heroes" comes from the interview with Richard Winters at the end of the American war feature film "Band of Brothers" A quote the major made while reading a letter from his comrade, Sergeant Myron Ranney. In the letter, Lanny mentioned that his grandson asked him if he was a hero, and the answer was: "No, but I served with a company of heroes."
