What is the first sentence of the proverb "If you can't learn"?
The proverb "If you can't do it, ask if you don't know".

Ask if you don't know, and you won't learn. It means to consult others humbly if you don't understand, and to study deeply if you don't understand. Educate students to ask questions if they don't understand, and form a good habit of being diligent and asking questions.

The original text is as follows:

If you don't know, ask. If you don't learn, you won't be virtuous. If you didn't see it, it would be ridiculous; See it without knowing it, although it is true; If you know what you are doing, you will be trapped.

On the issue of human nature, Xunzi advocated the theory of evil nature, and good nature was the result of enlightenment. Xunzi attached great importance to ceremony, and advocated the Confucian thought of kingship, believing that "water can carry a boat and also overturn it".
