Wang Shouren's famous sayings
1. When the human heart is righteous, it is the Taoist heart; when the Taoist heart is lost, it is the human heart.
2. There is nothing that can be achieved if there is no will. Like a boat without a rudder or a horse without a title, it floats and runs freely, where does it end?
3. A person with a kind heart has a kind intention. Knowing the good is the conscience, and being kind is the investigation of things.
4. Those who have ambitions for others will look to others for help. It is the brightness of the sun and the moon, but they hope that the light will be as small as the sun. Isn’t that right?
5. People, heaven, earth, people and things are the same. Confucianism, Buddhism, and Laoism are all for my use. This is the great way. The second family is selfish, which is a small way.
6. There is no disaster greater than the merits of the heavens, no crime greater than the good deeds of others, no shame greater than the ability of others, no humiliation greater than the forgetfulness of oneself, all four.
7. The husband gets it from his heart. Seeking it from the heart is not true. What he said came from Confucius, but I dare not take it seriously, and it is not as good as Confucius? Seeking truth from the heart, his words come from mediocrity, and he dare not say anything wrong, but does he come from Confucius?
8. Therefore, it depends on the laws of nature, not on talent. Therefore, ordinary people, if they are willing to make this mind follow the laws of heaven, can also be accepted by humans.
9. In the school, the only thing is to become a virtuous person. However, if there are differences in talents, such as those who are good at etiquette and music, good at politics and education, or good at water and soil planting, then they will become virtuous and benefit from it. Improve your abilities in school.
10. The way to rebuke your friends is to give them advice and teach them well, to understand their loyalty and love, and to make them melody, so that they can follow them after hearing them, change them by interpreting them, and feel something but have nothing to do with it. Anger is a good ear.
11. 25. The emotions of a large number of children, happy to play but afraid of being detained, are like the beginning of vegetation sprouting. When it is relaxed, it will become well-organized, and when it is scratched, it will wither. If you teach children today, you will make them tend to be inspired and have a happy heart, so that they can't stop progressing. For example, when it rains and spring breeze touches the plants and trees, they will all sprout and grow, and they will naturally change with the passing of the day and the moon. If the frost peels off, business will be depleted and the sun will wither.
12. Be humble in your heart and magnanimous in your abilities.
13. A gentleman is tireless in teaching, but a teacher must be strict in his teachings.
