On September 30, 1659, a man encountered a terrible storm during a voyage, and the boat capsized. No one survived except him. He was marooned on an isolated island. With his amazing perseverance and courage, twenty-eight years later, he escaped from the island relying on his own wisdom. This man was the unlucky but lucky Robinson Crusoe. I have lived on a deserted island for 28 years! What an astonishing number! This shows how brave Robinson is. When he first arrived on the isolated island, he was desperate. He said: "I have been grieving my bleak environment all day long. I have no food, no house, no clothes, no weapons, no way out, no hope of being rescued. There is only death in front of me." To be swallowed by wild beasts is to be chewed by savages..." However, slowly, his unique personality emerged, and he was full of hope for life. He no longer immersed himself in the pessimism of his own design all day long, and began to arrange his own life wholeheartedly. Life: He built a small house; made tables and small boxes; caught lambs and puppies; planted wheat and rice... In this way, he created his own small kingdom with his own hands. Robinson is a perseverant person. He once said: "My temperament is to be determined to do something and never let go until it succeeds." "I will try my best. As long as I can still paddle, I will not be drowned; as long as I can I can still stand, but I will not fall down..." He had no assistants, incomplete tools, and lack of experience, so everything he did required a lot of labor and a long time. It takes forty-two days to make even one wooden board. Many of the things he did were in vain and failed, but he never became discouraged and disappointed. He always summed up the experience of failure and started again. The hard work brought gratifying rewards. He finally had a boat, bread to eat, pottery to use, a plantation, a pasture, and two more "luxurious" residences... none of which was wrong. It took a lot of effort and overcoming many difficulties to get it. After reading, I couldn't help but reflect on myself: If I were stranded on an island, how many days would I survive? one day? Two days? What can I do? Can you chop wood? Can you hunt and cook? I can't even wash my own clothes! Besides, it’s so lonely without anyone to talk to! I will definitely choke to death! This shows how optimistic Robinson is! I think people should learn from his spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and being optimistic, and stay strong no matter where and when. Even if there is only a glimmer of hope, we must fight for it and never give up! We must be as ambitious, perseverant, and loving as Robinson Crusoe, and create wealth with our own hands to achieve final victory!
