This poem is a tribute to Yang Jiong, Lu and Luo. These four people are called "four outstanding men in the early Tang Dynasty". They were good at poetry, created the style and genre of a generation of poetry, and made contributions to the literary innovation in the early Tang Dynasty. But at that time, some shallow critics in the literary world were cynical about it, and Du Fu felt very wronged. He warned those frivolous people that after everything in your generation turned to dust, it would never hurt the flow of the river. The implication is that the poems of the four great masters will be circulated for a long time and their historical status will be indelible. Like rivers, they will flow forever. Du Fu's evaluation can be said to be true. "Ercao's name is destroyed, and rivers will not be wasted forever" has become a famous saying throughout the ages.
