Are you happy?
If someone asks this question, can you answer "yes" frankly and honestly?
Most people will hesitate, be uncertain or even deny it. Someone will answer: "It should be, but ..."
Master Daxi will tell us, "Yes." No strings attached: "But ..."
Because "happiness is Buddha". If a man of practice fully realizes the reality of life, he will feel happy from the heart. His heart is a cheerful spring, and he is not complacent. Moreover, people who are destined to be in the valley of his life can also share the coolness and joy of this spring. Where the fountain of the heart flows, it gives joy.
In fact, an enlightened Zen Buddhist has "nothing" in his heart. He has no real sense of destiny, so naturally he feels that there is nothing to say. This is the Zen master's self-state: "There is nothing to comment on in seclusion." When the outer edge was disturbed again, his heart was full of "nothing to do"; In other words, if you meet someone you don't understand, you will still feel sad and won't suffer, so as to facilitate him to speak and teach, but you know in your heart that "the first exit of law is a fabricated drama theory, and there is basically nothing to comment on".
Practice is your own business, and you know the realm best. The fragrance of the soul, you really have good taste. "A wick of incense", enjoying yourself, without waiting for external affirmation or even fame and fortune, because practice could have been self-sufficient. Protecting the soul, our hearts are the solemn Dojo of the Buddhas, with rain clouds and magical lotus flowers in it.
"I am hungry for tea when I sleep, and I am watching the water and watching the clouds." This is the wonderful realm for an Zen master to get home. It has nothing to do with the law, but to integrate into every moment, face the world with a simple heart and live a simple life. This is the meaning of happiness. Have a good sleep while sleeping, sleep soundly and peacefully; When you wake up and have tea to drink, your body and mind will be full of warmth. When you are hungry, you will have food, no matter how coarse or fine it is, you will have a deep taste-the yogi believes that only such a simple life, simple happiness.
Are you happy?
I hope we can all gradually put down the "leftovers" and live quietly in front of us. One day we can calmly and truly answer: "Yes, I am happy."
Facing the world with a simple heart and living a simple life is the meaning of happiness.
