The Origin of Tsinghua University School Motto

Tsinghua's school motto "Strive for Self-improvement, be virtuous and carry things" comes from a speech entitled "Gentleman" made by Liang Qichao in Tsinghua University in the winter of 19 14.

191410/in June, Liang Qichao gave a speech in Tsinghua, and inspired students with two images in Zhouyi, namely, "Heaven is strong, gentlemen strive for self-improvement" (dry divination) and "The rich in the earth, gentlemen carry things with great virtue" (Kun divination).
