There is an important festival in April, which is Mother's Day. April 1th.
On this day, everyone wants to show their respect to their mother in their own way, and also present their feelings of filial piety to the elderly to make them happy.
In fact, there are many stories about filial piety to mothers and elders in ancient times.
For example, when I was in the Three Kingdoms, there was such a story. Everyone may have heard the story of Zhuge Liang's war of words with Confucianism.
Zhuge Liang went to Jiangdong to lobby for Liu Bei and Dongwu to unite against Cao Cao. Unexpectedly, the capitulators in Jiangdong opposed it. The so-called great scholars in Jiangdong collectively attacked Zhuge Liang, and Zhuge Liang defeated them one by one with a golden tongue. Zhuge Liang's attitude towards these capitulators was mostly contemptuous, but not to one of them.
this man is called Lu Ji.
At that time, Lu Ji said that although Cao Cao held the emperor as a vassal, Liu Yuzhou, though a zhongshan jing wang Miao, was a man who weaved mats and sold shoes, so he didn't have enough to fight against Cao Cao!
At this time, Kong Ming was not only angry, but also cast a little approving look and said, "Are you Lu Lang, who is in Yuan Shu?"
this sentence leads to a story, which is called Lu Ji Huai Ju!
Lu Ji, a native of Huating (now Songjiang, Shanghai) in Wuxian, Wu State during the Three Kingdoms period, was not only a Confucian scholar, but also an astronomer who studied stars. After Lu Ji became an adult, he was knowledgeable and familiar with astronomy and calendar calculation. He once wrote "Huntian Map", annotated "Yijing" and wrote "Taixuan Jing Annotation".
But people know him because of an incident when he was a child. When Lu Ji was six years old, he went to Jiujiang with his father Lu Kang to see Yuan Shu. Yuan Shu was Yuan Shao's younger brother and a great warlord at that time. Yuan Shu took out oranges to entertain, and Lu Ji hid two oranges in his arms while people were not paying attention. Unexpectedly, when he left, the orange fell to the ground.
Yuan Shu sneered, "When Lu Lang comes to my house, do you still want to hide the owner's oranges when you leave?"
Lu Ji was embarrassed. She turned around and giggled and said, "My mother likes oranges. I want to take them back for her to taste." Yuan Shu was surprised to see that he knew how to be filial to his mother at an early age, so he gave him a lot of oranges.
The story of a pregnant orange has become a model of filial piety to mother.
There are many stories about filial piety to mothers in the Twenty-Four Filial Pieties. For example, there was a famous calligrapher named Huang Tingjian in the Northern Song Dynasty.
Huang tingjian, whose name is Lu Zhi, was a poet, poet and calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty. He was the founder of Jiangxi Poetry School, and he was weak when he was an official. He successively served as an official, a county commandant, a professor in imperial academy, a school book lang, a book assistant lang, a secretary cheng, a driver in Fuzhou, and a resettlement in Guizhou. In terms of poetry, he and Su Shi are also called "Su Huang"; Calligraphy, he and Su Shi, Mi Fei, Cai Xiang and known as the "four masters of the Song Dynasty", of course, Cai Xiang was added later, but it turned out to be the famous traitor Cai Jing in the Water Margin.
However, although Huang Tingjian has become such a big official, he does one thing for his mother every day, that is, he personally washes the toilet for his mother every night, and every day he forgets his son's duties. I am not afraid of being dirty and tired, but I do my best to serve my mother.
Supposedly, when he is such a big official, he should find a servant to do this. Unexpectedly, Huang Tingjian thinks that I am his own, so he should do this! What a good son do you think?
A few years ago, primary and secondary schools in Tianjin also launched an action to wash their parents' feet! I just want primary and secondary school students to develop this good habit of filial piety from an early age.
I also remember that there was a well-known public service announcement in those years, which was played by You Haoran, a family member with children, who gave her mother foot washing water! Water spilled all over the floor, and his mother wiped it when he came back! In fact, this is not necessarily a kind of filial piety to give parents foot washing water every day. Many times, sometimes it is a kind of filial piety to go home to see parents and chat with them more.
In those days, a song by Chen Hong was called "Go home and have a look often", but it was a hit!
It is reported that there are currently 167 million elderly people in China. After their children leave home due to work, study, marriage and other reasons, middle-aged and elderly couples who live alone in the "empty nest" are left unattended, and half of them live an "empty nest" life.
I often go home to see this, and later it was written into law! In 213, the Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly stipulated that "family members should care about the spiritual needs of the elderly, and should not neglect or neglect the elderly. Family members who live separately from the elderly should often visit or greet the elderly (often go home to see)".
filial piety to the elderly is a matter of course. As children, we should be filial to our parents whether we legislate or not. I think this obligation is only superficial and cannot solve the fundamental emotional problems.
Our parents brought us up and then we grew old, but now some young people just don't show filial piety to the elderly, or even abandon or abuse them, which should not be.
Article 4 of China's Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly stipulates: "Discrimination, insult, abuse and abandonment of the elderly are prohibited." According to Article 26 of China's Criminal Law: "Whoever maltreats family members in a vile way shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than two years, criminal detention or public surveillance." "Whoever commits the crime mentioned in the preceding paragraph and causes serious injury or death to the victim shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than two years but not more than seven years."
Of course, if the crime of maltreatment does not cause serious injury or death to the victim, the court will handle it only if the victim files a private prosecution with the court. If it causes serious injury or death, the people's procuratorate will bring a public prosecution to the court.
