Due to the advantages of Latin and ancient Greek in writing, the vocabulary of ancient French has been influenced. Some new words are based on Latin roots. Some scholars have modified the spelling of these French words to match the Latin roots, but this makes the spelling of French words different from the actual pronunciation.
Due to the contact with Italians, Italian humanism spread to France, and a large number of military words (such as Alarme, Cavalier, Espion, Infantrie, Camp, Canon, Soldat) and artistic words (such as some architectural words: arcade, lintel, balcony, corridor; Sonnets), this trend has continued until modern French.
Medieval French can be found in the works of Wei Yang, Kariman Marlowe, Francois Rabelais, Michel de Montaigne, Boolean de Rosa and the poems of Seven Star Poetry Society.
