Liuhuapo Street is named after Liuhuapo Village where it is located. Liuhuapo Village was originally named Liuhuapo. It is the village with the largest number of residents and the earliest construction date. In the early Ming Dynasty, the ancestors of the Xue family thought of the famous saying in Chapter 30 of "The Doctrine of the Mean" from the rivers flowing around their residence, "A small virtue flows, a great virtue Dunhua", so he took the word "flow" from the small virtue and the great virtue. The word "hua" followed by the word "bo" is the name of the village. After the founding of New China, the people in charge of the village did not know the meaning of the village name, so they changed the name to Liuhuabo Village because of the dense willow forests around the village and the beautiful scene of willow flowers falling on the river. In the 1960s, Liuhuapo Village, with more than 500 households and a population of more than 2,000 people, was divided into five administrative villages: Liudong, Liuxi, Liubei, Liudongshan and Liunanshan. People still used to call it Liuhuapo collectively. In the rural system reform in 1984, Liuhuapo Township was established, and Liudong Village was located. It was also named Liuhuapo Township in general. In September 1992, it was changed to Liuhuapo Town, and in December 1994, it was renamed Liuhuapo Sub-district. . In July 2010, Liuhuapo Subdistrict Office was renamed Lingzhushan Subdistrict Office.
