Secondly, according to the overall conception of A Dream of Red Mansions, the names of the three Qin Keqing family members all have special meanings: Qin Keqing's adoptive father is called Qin Ye, and karma is a homonym of "evil", which is pronounced as "retribution" in some local accents. Therefore, the homonym of "Qin Ye" is "Love is evil", which means that love is produced because of sin. Zhi Yanzhai commented: "Famous businessmen are evil, and Gai Yunqing was born for evil." Qin Keqing's younger brother is called "Qin Zhong", which means "kindness". Qin Keqing's homonym is "Love can be indifferent", which means that love can be looked down upon and replaced by lewdness. Qin Keqing doesn't know what true love is. She is addicted to feelings, which is called superficial lewdness.
Third, Qin Keqing is the wife of Sun Jiarong, the governor of Ningguo Prefecture. He was found guilty of adultery with his grandfather Jia Zhen and was ashamed to hang himself in Tianxianglou. In the process of writing A Dream of Red Mansions, Cao Xueqin was ordered to delete the plot of "Qin Keqing Mourning the Fragrant House" which originally occupied four or five pages, and at the same time changed the title of "Qin Keqing Mourning the Fragrant House" to "Qin Keqing's death sealed the dragon and banned the captain". However, Cao Xueqin kept the clue of "Yin Mourning Tian Xiang Lou", and the grotesque comments kept the back of "Yin Mourning Tian Xiang Lou". From Jiao Dazui's scolding of "climbing the ashes", Jia Zhen's grief over Qin Keqing's death, and the plot of Jia Zhen's funeral for Qin Keqing, we can still see that Qin Keqing's real cause of death was suicide.
