A famous mathematician and astronomer from the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Abacus is a tool for calculation with abacus. The invention of the abacus brought a leap forward in people's calculation ability. The term "abacus" was first seen in the book "Shu Shu Ji Yi" written by Xu Yue, a native of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Xu Yue said in the book: "Liu Kuaiji is erudite and partial to mathematics... There are still many kinds of Lishou's annotations, one of which is abacus." The Liu Kuaiji mentioned by Xu Yue is Liu Hong.
Some people say that Mengyin is the hometown of abacus, and Liu Hong is the father of abacus and is revered as the "Sage of Abacus". Abacus is one of China's five great inventions.
