During the long summer vacation, I often get bored. In order to make my summer vacation more fulfilling, I finally decided to practice four-wheel skateboarding. This is something I have longed for for a long time. Every time I see those handsome and cool people who skateboard, I will be envious. Now my dream can finally come true. Got it!
With the skateboard I dreamed of, I was really excited and couldn’t wait to go to the community to practice. As soon as I got off the stairs, a high-temperature heat wave hit my face, and the scorching sun was like a fire above my head. I instantly felt like I was going to be dried out, but this can't stop my love for skateboarding...
When I arrived at the backyard of the community, there was no one around. Maybe it was because the weather was too hot! This was a good time for me to practice skateboarding alone! I carefully put the skateboard on the ground, learned the skateboarding posture of an expert, pushed hard with my left foot, and the skateboard slid forward five or six meters. "Yeah!" Because I pushed too hard, the skateboard was already running forward before I could adjust my center of gravity. It shocked me. It was really hard to guard against it! Fortunately, there was no danger and I jumped off the skateboard in time. I started a new attempt. Place your feet on the front of the skateboard, stand on the ground with your left foot, and push hard to make the skateboard slide forward quickly. This time, I "learned something and gained wisdom". After kicking off my left foot, I quickly got on the skateboard and my center of gravity became stable. However, due to my lack of proficiency, I often have poor control and fall off the skateboard from time to time. It’s okay, just keep practicing a few times and you will definitely become more and more proficient!
Next, I faced a difficult problem: how to turn? This problem bothers me. No matter how long a road is, it has its twists and turns. I carefully studied the bottom of the skateboard and found that there was a piece of rubber at the end of the bottom bracket of the two wheels. If my guess is correct, as long as the center of gravity is shifted to the left and right sides and the rubber is slightly bent, the car should turn slightly. I tested it, and sure enough, it can indeed turn. But combining these two techniques is simply extremely difficult. I rode my skateboard around the small square. I often fell off the skateboard again and again at the corners where I should turn because the angle or force of the turn was too small. Alas, it is not easy to learn to skateboard well!
When I got home, I checked on the Internet and found that people who are really good at skateboarding always press the back of the skateboard with their feet when turning, and tilt the skateboard head to the left or right. You can change direction. I had a sudden enlightenment and turned the skateboard around. It turned out to be that simple! I ran downstairs again to test...but the result disappointed me: this is a bit difficult for me as a novice. I can't control the force of the skateboard tilting. Once because of too much force, I almost fell into a "dog chewing mud"...
At this moment, I thought of the ancient saying "The edge of a sword comes from sharpening, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold", which is Yes, nothing is easy to succeed, and you will be rewarded if you put in the effort. Of course, the same goes for skateboarding. If you don’t practice frequently, where will you get your perfect skills? I will definitely continue to practice, because I firmly believe that only by hard work and dedication can I reap the joy of success!
