Changli has a long history. Qin Shihuang and Emperor Wudi came here successively to offer sacrifices, and Wei Wudi, Cao Cao, Emperor Taizong and Li Shimin also offered sacrifices here first and then. They all stayed here. In 1950s, Mao Zedong's Langtaosha Beidaihe made Jieshi Mountain more famous. Changli is the county seat of Han Yu, a great writer in the Tang Dynasty. In Changli County in Yuan Dynasty, there was a Han Wengong Temple dedicated to Han Yu, a "hundred-generation literator". At the beginning of the 20th century, Li Dazhao, a pioneer of the communist movement in China, took refuge in the Hanwengong Temple in Wufeng Mountain many times and wrote a lot of poems. Shuiyan Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, is the only place for Buddhist activities in eastern Hebei. Yuanying Temple Tower, built in Liao and Jin Dynasties, is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a symbol of ancient tourism culture in Changli.
Nature's uncanny workmanship has created Changli's dignified and beautiful appearance and nurtured Changli people's hearts like the sea. Changli, a pearl embedded in the Bohai Sea, will welcome visitors from all directions with more dazzling and charming style!
