Confucius Tathagata-(16) Is the content still strict?
? Lu and Wei are two countries with the deepest cultural accumulation in the Spring and Autumn Period, with good order and good governance, and a large number of gentlemen and sages.
"The Analects of Confucius. "Luz" records that Gongzi Jing: "Have a good sleep. At first I said: sexual intercourse. Rare, say: if you are finished. Rich, say: beautiful. "
? This is Confucius' praise for the attitude towards wealth in Gongzi Jing. Gongzijing's wealth has changed three times: at first, he was very few and rich, but his happiness has always been there. He is satisfied at every stage of family wealth, neither greedy nor extravagant, and feels satisfied and happy in limited wealth. When the next stage doesn't come, don't expect it. When the next stage comes, don't refuse.
This is contentment.
But this "knowledge" of "contentment" is not only the meaning of "knowledge" that we often say, but also the meaning of perception.
? Because happiness does not come from rational cognition of happiness, but from perceptual experience of happy life.
Knowing the truth of contentment can't really make you happy.
? Happiness lies in: can our mind perceive infinity in finiteness? Feeling thin? Perceive enough lack?
In a word, can you feel happiness in an imperfect world?
We perceive color with vision, sound with hearing and taste with taste. We also have a sense of happiness-"sufficiency", a sense of satisfaction.
Without taste, you can't perceive taste. Without hearing, you can't perceive music. Without vision, you can't perceive color, and without enough senses, you can't perceive happiness.
Feet let us feel the warmth of the world and the poetry of the world. Having "enough sleep" is "contentment".
For happiness, "contentment" is more essential than "satiety"
