E-commerce has many advantages over traditional commerce, but it also has many disadvantages.
First of all, there is a very important issue in e-commerce - the issue of integrity. Customers are afraid to buy goods online, especially high-priced goods, out of self-protection.
Second, when conducting transactions through e-commerce, customers cannot directly come into contact with the goods. There are many products (such as clothing, jewelry, antiques, etc.) that it is difficult for customers to decide whether to buy without direct contact with them.
Thirdly, customers cannot receive the purchased goods immediately after ordering online. Customers need to spend several days waiting for goods ordered online.
Fourth, payment issue. So far this problem has not been well solved. Online bank card transfers are unsafe; post office remittances are too slow; cash on delivery requires the seller to have its own delivery team, which is too costly.
Fifth, e-commerce is a new thing, and many people are not familiar with it or cannot accept it. It is unrealistic to expect it to replace traditional business that has a history of thousands of years within a few years. The development path of new things is always tortuous.
The above are the disadvantages of e-commerce, and these are the advantages of traditional business. Therefore, e-commerce cannot replace traditional commerce in the short term.
