After I graduated from college in 1997, I was assigned to work at a TV station in a remote county town as a TV news reporter. Although they are called reporters, they are actually just like the rural correspondents of the past. They often work early in the morning and go to the countryside at night. Sometimes they can only eat one meal a day. The work is very difficult. But as the living environment changes and my horizons broaden, I see many Communist Party members working conscientiously for the party around me. Their words and deeds have set an example for me. In the winter of 1997, I followed several county leaders to the villages at the foot of Lao Tuding Mountain, the roof of Liaoning Province, to learn about the living conditions of some poor households and veteran demobilized soldiers there.
