He has a famous saying: "The people are the most important, the country is the second, and the monarch is the light." Mencius believed that "land, people and politics" were the "three treasures" of the country. Whoever can protect the people will surely be king. Because "protecting the people is king, you can't violate it" (Mencius Hui Liang Wang Shang). If you kill people, you are a lonely husband. Such people don't deserve this world. Even if you win the world, you will be defeated. Overthrowing such a son of heaven is not an act of regicide, just like overthrowing Yin's rule with "killing one person and killing one person", it is killing the people. Mencius said, "There is a way in the world. Those who win the hearts of the people win the world. " (Mencius on Li Lou) Those who win the world, those who lose the hearts of the people, lose the world. On the other hand, people who can't get the world will get the world as long as they get the support of the people. "Therefore, Qiu Min is regarded as the son of heaven, the son of heaven as a vassal, and the vassal as a doctor" (Mencius with all his heart). In other words, Qiu Min means that the people are more important than the son of heaven: the Spring and Autumn Period.
