Multi-party speech
In this context, Aleksi danilov, secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Committee, also said on Ukrainian TV programs that Kiev is ready to "attack Russian territory" if Russia attacks Ukraine further.
Danilov's speech was very tough, "We will be able to do anything. If anything involves our interests, we will not ask anyone where to attack the enemy. "
Such remarks will only aggravate the current situation and both sides will be angry.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed in the video conference that Russia is not "crazy", but only uses weapons of mass destruction and nuclear weapons as its own defense means.
On the other hand, U.S. Defense Secretary Austin exaggerates the fact that Russia is expanding its nuclear arsenal and modernizing its nuclear weapons. Austin's statement occurred at a delicate moment when Europe turned around and aimed at the United States, once again vigorously rendering the "Russian threat." Earlier, the British media broke the news that Uzbekistan dared to launch attacks on Russian mainland several times recently. Not only did the United States provide positioning intelligence materials, but the Pentagon also revised its threat assessment of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and stopped telling Kiev not to attack.
The Russian side also gave evidence of the participation of NATO members.
However, US Secretary of State Blinken and US National Security Council Strategic Communication Coordinator John Kirby have stated successively that the escalation of the Ukrainian military conflict is not in the interests of the American or Russian people. Kirby believes that the United States has not explicitly promoted Ukraine's actions in Russia, nor has it encouraged Ukraine to do so.
The United States' attitude of echoing both sides has made the situation particularly unclear, and also made all parties in the world pay special attention to the trend of the situation in Russia and Ukraine.
America's choice
The United States incited the conflict between Russia and Ukraine to ensure its own interests, but how will the United States maximize its interests afterwards?
Brian Clark, an analyst, wrote for the American media "19FortyFive" that the United States does not want the Kiev regime to win in the Ukrainian conflict because it may lead to a nuclear war with Russia.
After analyzing the situation in Russia and Ukraine, Clark believes that provoking Russia may lead to Russia having to use nuclear weapons to defend its territory, which the Biden administration has always hoped to avoid. However, Ukrainian President Zelensky's goal of "completely returning the national territory" is obviously inconsistent with Washington's concerns.
Clark compared Russia with Ukraine. A completely rebuilt Ukraine cannot be compared with a nuclear-armed Russia. He called on the United States to put pressure on Kiev, lower expectations and be more open to nuclear negotiations with Russia.
This view may have been influenced by Putin's previous "wanting to introduce the' American style of play' pre-emptively", but the US government has not expressed its position on this. Instead, it provided Ukraine with a new round of military assistance of $275 million.
Zelensky's speech is even more remarkable. Zelensky said after talking to the leaders of the United States, France and Turkey respectively that the coming week will bring "important achievements" to ease the situation in Russia and Ukraine.
It is not only worrying that the "important achievement" that makes Zelensky so excited will obviously not be a big move conducive to peace talks.
