There are more than 200 kinds of distinctive clothes in the film, but this is a big project of fashion designers. They learn from the past to create the future and consult a lot of reference materials about the Middle Ages. The black robe of the Virgin Helen originated from the dresses of nuns in the Middle Ages. They even got inspiration from insect creatures, and canas's armor design was inspired by desert beetles.
The most special is the distillation suit that can make water circulate inside, which was invented specifically for desert survival. As for hearing, Hans Zimmer, a Hollywood score master, began to explore music when he polished the script in Villeneuve. He tried to define a new musical language, inspired by wind, desert sound and rhythm, and created sounds from another time and space and another planet.
