The word "gentleman" has existed since ancient times and is really a model of being a man. What is a gentleman? People with high status mentioned by the ancients now refer to people with noble personality. A gentleman is virtuous, kind-hearted, modest and prudent; Little people are nasty by nature. Cunning and narrow-minded, so there is a saying that "the belly of a gentleman is the heart of a villain." The so-called "decent people" are calm. Villains are always in the same boat, which distinguishes "gentlemen" from "villains":
(1) Talented people are not necessarily moral gentlemen, and moral people are necessarily different from villains, so we have to admit the censorship system.
(2) The communication between gentlemen is as light as water, while the communication between villains is as sweet as sweet wine. A man of noble character meets people not for profit, but for virtue.
(3) A gentleman sympathizes with others' troubles, while a villain gloats at others' troubles.
(4) A gentleman loves money well, while a villain loves money by hook or by crook.
(5) a gentleman would rather die than surrender, and a villain is grovelling for the purpose.
(6) A gentleman takes pleasure in obtaining righteousness, while a villain takes pleasure in satisfying lewd behavior. The moral sentiments of a gentleman and a villain are completely different.
(7) A gentleman likes to praise others, while a villain likes to slander others; Gentlemen like to give, while villains like to take.
(8) A gentleman is strict with himself, while a villain is strict with others.
(9) A gentleman is broad-minded and poised; Little people often worry about fear and live in constant fear.
(10) The gentleman makes all kinds of opinions reasonably consistent, but does not agree; Little people echo the voice, rather than reasonably resolve differences of opinion.
(1 1) If a gentleman is poor, he still insists on honesty. Once a villain is poor, he can't control himself.
(12) A gentleman is comfortable but not proud, while a villain is proud but not impetuous.
(13) A gentleman is good at scheming, while a villain is good at suspicion.
It must be a villain who hugs a villain, and it is not necessarily a gentleman who hugs a gentleman. Villains are everywhere, gentlemen seek things, Dont Ask For Help, and villains ask for nothing. In our time, I believe many people are keenly aware of the harm of villains.
Normal personality means people's self-esteem and self-awareness, while small people don't. Such people tend to lose themselves and usually show emotional emptiness. They have nothing to do on weekdays, love to inquire about other people's privacy, spread stability and privacy, and fabricate troubles when the world is peaceful, lest the world be chaotic. If there are such people in an enterprise, it will pose a great threat to the cohesion of the enterprise. They are centrifugal forces within enterprises, and if they are not contained, they will exhaust the last drop of collective wisdom. This kind of villain is also called "internal friction expert".
It can be summed up as a truth: to succeed, we must first learn to be a man, and to be a man, we must first abide by morality. When morality and utilitarian purposes are consistent, reasonable utilitarianism will not be given up on the premise of fulfilling moral responsibilities to society, that is, the so-called "a gentleman loves money and has a good way to get it." In the early Qing Dynasty, Yan Yuan once had a famous saying, that is, "Seek its benefits with righteousness, know its way and count its merits".
To be a gentleman, we must do this: when there is a conflict between morality and utilitarian purpose, we should sacrifice profit for justice. Mencius, an ancient philosopher in China, famously said, "Give up one's life for righteousness". He thinks that life is important, but personality is more valuable. If you can't have it both ways, you must "sacrifice your life for justice."
During the Three Kingdoms period, Wei Yan killed the satrap Han Xuan and took refuge in Liu Beishi. Liu Bei and Guan Yu are happily busy toasting Wei Yan. At this time, Zhuge Liang suddenly ordered the thugs to take Wei Yan down, saying that Wei Yan "killed his master by eating his food, and lived in his land and offered his piece, which was unjust." This heartless and unjust person will be rebellious in the future. " Liu Bei and others did not believe it and insisted on leaving Wei Yan. After Zhuge Liang's death, Wei Yan really rebelled and was captured by Zhuge Liangxiu. Ma Dai finally cut off Wei Yan.
It was through his own practice that King Wen of Chu in the Spring and Autumn Period knew that people were good at their jobs. Jubilee and Shen both worked for King Chu Wen. Zhu Bili is upright and upright. When he sees King Wen's mistake, he remonstrates. Zhou Wenwang felt a little annoyed that Jubilee had exposed his shortcomings in front of all the ministers. Shen is very obedient and good at observing King Wen's every move. King Wen wanted to say what he wanted to do, but he did it first. King Wen feels very happy to have Shen around. However, King Wen of Chu has proved through practice that all the exhortations made by Xi are correct, and many things are beneficial to himself and the country because he does not make mistakes because of exhortation. What Shen Bo did according to his own will is wrong and is not good for himself and the country. Therefore, Wang Cai of Zhu Wen is a wise minister and should be reused, so he is called the Five Heroes. King Wen of Chu expelled Shen from the country because he was a flattering courtier and thought such people could no longer be used.
Being with noble people will make people open-minded, such as in a secluded room; Getting along with people who are morally corrupt will make people narrow-minded and have low quality. As the saying goes, "He who goes near Zhu Zhechi is black".
Facts of life have proved that if a person deviates from the way of being a gentleman, he can only turn himself into a fly flying around in society and among people, and he will never be reused. Even if he is reused for a while, he will be expelled from the ranks of successful people sooner or later.
