-"Confucius' Family Language, Twentieth"
Once, Confucius and his disciples were trapped in Chen and Cai's place. They were trapped for seven days without food.
The disciples were hungry for seven days, all of them were sallow and emaciated, and some disciples were still worried about it. But at this time, Confucius continued to study every day, and there was no end to string songs, without complaints and troubles.
Seeing that the students were so hungry, Zi Gong broke through the encirclement with his personal belongings and went outside to change a little rice, hoping to relieve everyone's hunger.
There were more people than rice, so Yan Hui and Luz found a cauldron and began to cook porridge for everyone in a broken room.
Lutz left temporarily for something. Just then, Zigong passed by the well and turned around, just to see Yan Hui take a spoonful of porridge and send it to his mouth. Zi Gong looked a little unhappy, but instead of questioning Yan Hui, he went to his master's room.
After seeing the master, Zigong saluted him and asked him, "How about being kind and upright and turning poverty into thrift?" ? "Confucius replied," What is kindness and treachery? "If you are poor and change your ethics, how can you be an honest man with a benevolent heart?
Zi Gong then asked the master, "Will a man like Yan Hui change his integrity?" The master clearly answered Zigong: "Of course not." Zigong will see Yan Hui stealing porridge and tell his master.
After hearing this, the master was not surprised. He said, "I have believed in Yan Hui's character for a long time. Although you say so, I still can't doubt him because of this matter. Maybe there are some reasons. Don't talk about it. Let me ask him first. 」
So the master called Yan back and said to him, "I dreamed of my ancestors the other day." Must be to protect us? When your porridge is ready, I'll go to worship my ancestors first. 」
Hearing this, Yan Hui immediately respectfully said to the master, "Master, this porridge can no longer be used for ancestor worship. 」
Confucius asked, "Why? 」
Yan Hui replied, "Just now, when the students were cooking porridge, the hot air of porridge floated to the roof. After the roof was smoked, a small piece of black dust fell into the porridge If it is not clean in the porridge, the students scoop it up with a spoon. It's too bad to dump it, so I ate it. It is disrespectful to sacrifice ancestors after eating porridge! 」
Confucius said, "I see. If it were me, I would eat it, too. 」
After Yan Hui withdrew, Confucius turned to several disciples present and said, "I don't have to wait until today to prove my trust in Yan Hui. Several disciples were deeply educated and very convinced.

Reflections on "Seeing Faith through Suffering"
After reading this article, I feel a lot, especially teachers who have worked for more than ten years often deal with problems between students. Every time there is a contradiction between classmates, first ask: who is right and who is wrong? I inadvertently fell into right and wrong, because without the wisdom of the master, I fell into right and wrong, and what did I convey to the students?
Therefore, students will constantly distinguish how much responsibility they should bear in this matter, and usually feel that the other party's responsibility is heavier. The ancients said, "Fools argue, while sages argue." This method of solving problems will not improve teachers and students, but will only make students fall into the "argument" between you and me, which is becoming more and more unwise.
When a master encounters a problem, let things calm down first, and then explore the truth by himself. Master has known Yan Hui for a long time. But in the face of Zi Gong's problem, he was neither enthusiastic nor angry. As the saying goes, "When you have a deep insight, you will be calm." .
In fact, before he asked his favorite apprentice, Yan Hui, he had the answer that Yan Hui would never steal porridge. In front of a large group of students, observing a fact will show the master's human understanding. If the master directly asked Yan Hui if he had stolen porridge? Or ask Zigong directly when he sees it, which is a distrust of Yan Hui. For the ancient gentlemen, it is a great insult that the younger brother doesn't trust himself. Not only will they not forgive themselves, but they will certainly look at themselves and see where they have not done enough.
In ancient times, the benevolent gentleman also pursued "people don't know what to do." People don't understand us and don't change their integrity. What they do is to keep their moral obligations, not to get compliments from others.
Therefore, the master's question is to preserve the honor of a gentleman and is full of profound wisdom. Because the ancients respected their ancestors and regarded them as gods. It is also because Yan Hui has enough virtue that the master can ask this question. Yan Hui is naturally among his classmates, and he is also a very trustworthy person. He knows that what he said must be true, so the master's question must save the gentleman's face and remove the doubts in Zi Gong's heart.
When Zi Gong heard the truth of this fact, we believe that his inner touch must be deep. But as a senior for so many years, if he really has such doubts about Yan Hui, it shows how difficult it is to build trust between people!
I have absolute trust in the teacher who worships him so much. Yan Hui is the master's favorite disciple. Master once commented on Yan Hui: "Since I came back, my disciples have become closer and closer." That is to say, since Yan Hui entered the master's door, the other disciples have become more and more harmonious. Master once said that if Yan Hui had a big family, he would be the housekeeper of Yan Hui. The master praised Yan Hui's virtue and said, "If you live in a mean alley, you can't bear to worry about it, and you won't change your fun when you go back." Zi Gong should have no doubt about a teacher younger brother like Yan Hui. However, he did see a fact, he saw it, other disciples, will he also see it? Will there be doubts in my heart, but I dare not ask. I just leave an impression in my heart that people who are often praised by teachers actually steal porridge to drink! Therefore, although Zigong thinks that his younger brother is as reasonable as the teacher, he must ask so that everyone can understand, so this question is for everyone to see. In today's world, if you want to read this story, if you just stay on the suspicion between their brothers and sisters, it is actually the realm of the sages.
I wonder if you have the experience of not eating for three days a day? Let's think again, what would it feel like to go without eating for seven days? Do we still have the strength to talk? Will our ambition waver? And the master is still chanting, and the disciples are still determined. At this special moment, if Yan Hui scoops porridge to drink this action, it will shake the hearts of other disciples, and they are afraid to ask the teacher. In this way, it not only insulted Yan Hui's image and damaged the master's holy name, but also caused a gap in the task. Zi Gong saved the teacher's holy name and Yan Hui's honor. Under such special circumstances, it also makes the whole group more stable. It's killing three birds with one stone.
When Zigong asked the teacher, the detour was worth learning, and the bread there contained respect for the teacher. Because the teacher praised Yan Hui so much, he must be careful when he talks about this person's shortcomings. He asked one question after another. He first asked whether people's ethics would change because of poverty, but the teacher definitely answered no, because Yan Hui was already a kind and honest man, so he directly asked: Will Yan Hui change his ethics? When the teacher affirmed Yan Hui's integrity, he didn't take what he saw, that Yan Hui didn't have integrity-stealing porridge and taking it out. This response is very tasty. In fact, did Zi Gong learn the art of these speeches from the teacher? And the teacher's answer is another affirmation of Yan Hui's virtue.
After listening to the conversation between my brother Yan Hui and the teacher, it goes without saying that if he is really suspicious, he will feel ashamed. If you ask everyone, you can see the intentions of the sages, think of others and be selfless and selfless.
After something happens, everyone can be promoted in this matter, and people of different realms have different gains. As a teacher, as a parent, and even as the leader of a unit, when there are contradictions among students, children and employees, never get caught up in right and wrong. Instead, we should keep a calm and rational mind, investigate the truth without hurting everyone, and then convince everyone in front of the facts. This is really hard to get. Thinking is not a day's work, but a kind of wisdom accumulated slowly in the process of constantly dealing with problems.
This story also inspires us, that is, even the facts we see with our own eyes are sometimes different from what we imagined. If we don't understand the intention behind an action, we are likely to have some misunderstandings. Therefore, Disciples Rules says, "Don't speak out of turn until you see it is true. Don't pass on what you don't know. Now, through this story, it should be said that even if you really see it, you can't say it easily, which is easy to cause some misunderstandings. You should not be careless!
Therefore, today, we should learn from some actions of sages, find a place where we can examine ourselves from all angles, and complete our lives with the wisdom of sages.
