The film Exile is a gangster film written and directed by director Du Qifeng, starring Wu Zhenyu, Huang Qiusheng, Richie Jen, Lin Jiadong and Yam Tat-wah. The film tells a series of stories in which one of the five well-coordinated killers suddenly washed his hands, took his wife and children away from the hubbub and lived a quiet life in Macao, but was chased by the mafia boss, and five people came together again with different purposes.
Exile tells the sad feeling that a hero has come to the end of his life and the rivers and lakes are gone under a simple storyline. The film was shortlisted in the competition unit of the 63rd Venice Film Festival, and won the Best Director Award of the Hong Kong Film Golden Bauhinia Award and the Best Director Award of the Hong Kong Film Critics Association.
