Why do you want to sacrifice stoves in off-year?

Kitchen God is a bodhisattva who bless the people with "abundant grain and abundant financial resources". Every year, he reported to the Jade Emperor that the people were burning incense for him, so the people gave the Kitchen God "benefits" in order to let him speak well for himself in front of the Jade Emperor, and then the Kitchen God went to heaven. According to folklore, every year on the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, Kitchen God will tell the Jade Emperor about the good and evil at home, and let the Jade Emperor reward and punish the family. According to Kitchen God's report, the Jade Emperor handed over the development of family wealth to Kitchen God in the new year. There is a folk custom that "men don't have Yue Bai and women don't sacrifice stoves". Therefore, the worship of the kitchen is limited to men, which is considered by the ancients as respect for the kitchen god.

What are the precautions for offering sacrifices to stoves during the off-year period?

1 first, you need to buy a portrait of the kitchen king and stick it on the north or east of the kitchen. If possible, you can add shrines, lights, candles and other items.

2. Prepare fruits, wine and vegetables, as well as incense and candles used when offering sacrifices to the stove. Sacrifice includes six necessities: rice cake, rice cake, water chestnut, sugarcane, spinach and garlic sprout. In addition, other things such as tofu, candy, oranges and so on.
