Master Wuji's "Heart Medicine Prescription"

Yao Zhanxiong

This is a materialistic society. There are too many temptations that make people's hearts sway, ecstasy, and itching. As a result, people in the world suffer from heart diseases. . Physical illness is easy to treat, but mental illness is difficult to cure! There is a saying: "Heart illness must eventually be cured by heart medicine."

Buddhists regard healing the mind as the top priority. They describe troubles and reincarnation as diseases in the world and the Buddha as the great medical king. "Buddhist Sutra" says: "I am like a good doctor. I know the disease and prescribe medicine. Whether I take it or not is not the doctor's fault."

Master Wuji once prescribed "Heart Medicine" "To help the world, this is his common method to benefit the world and benefit people after he enlightens his mind and attains enlightenment.

Master Wuji is also commonly known as Monk Shitou Xiqian. His common surname is Chen. He was born in Gaoyao, Duanzhou (now Guangdong Province). He became a monk at the age of twelve and practiced Buddhism. He once sought Dharma from the Sixth Patriarch Huineng. After the death of the Sixth Patriarch, he went to Qingyuan Xingsi's sect, and later lived in Hengshan Nan Temple. He built a nunnery on a flat stone in the east of the temple. The world respectfully called him "Stone", and he and Ma Zu were called the second master.

The Master told the world:

Anyone who wants to organize his family, govern his country, learn Taoism, and cultivate himself must first take my ten wonderful medicines before he can achieve success.

Medicinal materials: one piece of compassion, one piece of good belly, half a piece of gentleness, three points of truth, faith and deeds are important, one piece of Zhongzhi, one piece of filial piety, one piece of honesty, full use of Yin Zhao, no matter how many conveniences you have.

Preparation: Stir-fry this medicine in a wide-centered pot, do not burn it, do not dry it, remove the fire by 30%, and grind it in an equal basin. Thinking three times is the end, and the six paramitas are pills, as big as Bodhi seeds.

Usage: Take three servings a day, at any time, with Heqi Decoction. If you can take it accordingly, you will be free from illness and disease.

Taboos: Do not speak clearly and act rudely, be self-interested at the expense of others, shoot in the dark, be poisoned in the belly, laugh with a knife, and cause trouble in the ground. The above seven things must be avoided immediately.

Efficacy: If the above ten flavors can be used in full, they can bring happiness and longevity, and become a Buddha and ancestor. If you use the four or five flavors, you can also eliminate sins and prolong life, and eliminate disasters. There is no use of all parties, and there is no remedy for regret. Even though Bian Que and Lu are doctors, the so-called disease is terminal and difficult to cure. Praying to heaven and earth and wishing gods are all in vain.

Since this recipe does not waste the employer's money, does not cost money for medicine, and does not require labor and cooking, why not take it?

At the end of the day, he composed a verse and said: "This recipe is a perfect combination. Heaven’s secret, I don’t need Dr. Lu and Bian Que. I would like to advise all good men and women who are in urgent need of treatment not to be suspicious.”

Although this medicine only has ten flavors, the tastes are all for understanding the mind and nature. It can be said to be the right medicine. In the Buddhist view, all human body ailments are caused by heart diseases. Buddha Sakyamuni classified heart diseases into three types: "greed, anger, and ignorance." A person can only eliminate these three types of "greed, anger, and ignorance." Only by killing the virus can you have a healthy body and a clear spiritual world.

Among the Buddhist classics, the most essential sutra is the Heart Sutra, and to reach the highest state, we must rely on our hearts. The World-Honored One once taught this:

"The heart is the heaven, the heart is the human being, the mind is the ghosts and gods, and the animal hells are all the actions of the heart." For people who do good deeds, the heart is the nectar of Dharma; For those who do evil, the heart is the root of all poison. Therefore, you should treat illnesses from the heart, and save people from the heart. As the Buddha said in the Surangama Sutra: "A lamp can produce colors, and if you see it like this, it is your eyes, not the lamp; if your eyes can produce colors, if you see your nature like this, it is your mind, not your eyes." Translation In vernacular, it is: a lamp can show things, not because the lamp itself can see things, but because the eyes see things through the lamp: when the eyes can see things, it is not because the eyes are seeing, but because the mind reveals its nature through the eyes. It can be seen from this that if a person is ignorant of things, it is not that the things are sick, nor the eyes and other organs, but our hearts are sick. As long as the heart diseases are cured, then our eyes and other external "six senses" can be cured. Distinguishing and reasoning can also be clarified.

The founders of Zen Buddhism throughout the history have all pursued one original mind. They believe that if a person cannot understand his mind and see his nature, he is like taking bricks to polish a mirror, or trying to find a fish with a tree. "Dharma Bloodline Treatise" says: "Except for this mind, you will never be able to see the Buddha. The Buddha is achieved by your own mind, so why should you leave this mind to look for the Buddha? The Buddha before and after you only talked about it. The heart is the Buddha, and the Buddha is the heart. There is no Buddha outside the heart, and there is no mind outside the Buddha. If there is a Buddha outside the heart, where is the Buddha? If there is no Buddha outside the heart, how can one see the Buddha? If one knows that one's own heart is the Buddha. , one should not look for Buddha outside his heart.

If the Buddha does not save the Buddha, he will search for the Buddha with his heart and not recognize the Buddha. "So, how can we achieve the true mind? The Sixth Patriarch Huineng told us: "In all walks, standing, sitting and lying down, always practice a straight mind. But practice with a straight mind and don’t be attached to all dharmas. "This shows the importance of the heart to real life.

Let's look back at Master Wuji's "Heart Medicine". It solves the chronic diseases of life from the root. The master's "Heart Medicine" "It can be used by people at all times, both at home and abroad, whether they believe in Buddhism or not. Just imagine, if a person has a good heart, always has compassion, is a little more pliable, knows some things, keeps his word to others, and is righteous to his friends, Be filial to your parents, respect your teachers, be honest and not deceive, and provide convenience to others. If everyone can be like this, the whole society will be harmonious and peaceful, and the world will be peaceful.
